put on an impressive two touchdown performance that turned heads. His speed off the line and ability to dart past defenders stood out, leaving the corner struggling to keep up as Trent took his route down the sideline and hauled in a perfectly placed ball for six. His second touchdown may have been even more impressive as he used his jets once again to outrun the coverage, track the ball in stride, and glide into the end zone untouched. Trent deserves more recognition as the offseason approaches, and I’m excited to see him continue to showcase his talent at the Next events this winter and spring.

was one of the biggest risers from Next’s spring combine. I wrote about him extensively in the past, but just to reiterate, he is a special talent, especially when he lines up as a receiver. At the event, Trent displayed phenomenal hand-eye coordination and the ability to make the difficult catch look easy. Time and time again Trent contorted his body mid flight to adjust for the ball and come down with it cleanly.
On top of his catch skills, Trent has a lot of speed. He is lightning quick out of his breaks, often stunning DBs with his elusiveness. Once Trent hits his growth spurt he will be an athlete everyone is familiar with, I can promise you that.

Trent is a receiver with a ton of potential and one of my top picks to watch blossom over the next season. He showed impressive body control, making mid-air adjustments to haul in tough passes and getting his head around quickly to secure the catch—even when the ball came in hot. His quick reaction time and shiftiness made him a problem in live action, as he is a true ankle breaker, plain and simple.
