Oklahoma High School Combine MVPs

We had some outstanding talent all across the state of Oklahoma and even some of the surrounding states. We'll have a ton of coverage from the event dropping on Prep Redzone! In this post, we're putting the spotlight on the best of the best at each position. After discussing with our positional coaches and writers in attendance, these seven earned the title of the best of the best in Oklahoma!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1260190"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"Owasso 2025 defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1260190' first='Alijah' last='Hills'] is the perfect example of why we do these camps. Our defensive line position was pretty stacked this weekend. We had some dudes that are going to be some of the top guys at their position this fall. But Hills came in to prove that he belongs in that group and he was able to do just that. Hills was a prospect that we didn't know much about coming into the camp on Saturday. And after watching him go to work against the offensive line group, we're fired up to see him again this spring when the pads are on and this fall. Hills is going to have an excellent opportunity to have a big year with all the talent along Owasso's defensive line.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["511800"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Shawnee had a few standouts during Saturday's camp and 2025 running back [player_tooltip player_id='511800' first='Dace' last='Shaw'] was just one of them. Shaw would end up taking home the MVP award for the running back position on Saturday. This was another position group that was solid and had good depth. But when you combined everything involved in a camp, Shaw was the pick. From eye test, to testing, to work in the drills and in competition, Shaw brought it and had a really strong performance. We like what Shawnee brings back for this fall and they have some players that are quickly making names for themselves this offseason. Shaw is just one Shawnee standout that turned heads on Saturday aftenroon.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["326731"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Another reason why we love doing these camps is you don't just see standouts from your own backyard. 2025 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='326731' first='Devin' last='Holt'] came down from Missouri and stole the show from the wide receiver position. Holt immediately grabbed our attention during the testing portion of the camp. He tested well and then showcased that speed again in the drills and the one on one competitions. Holt was ready to compete and for the second straight camp, one of our positional MVPs is headed back to the Show Me State. Holt really impressed us this weekend and it's not surprising that he's already on the radar in Missouri within the state's 2025 class. Offense usually has the advantage and they usually have a major numbers advantage. But Guthrie 2027 defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1260189' first='Frederick' last='Nash'] came out to compete on Saturday and he was another name that we were not familiar with coming into the camp and we walked away very impressed with his overall game. Whenever we run these camps, we stress that kids need to compete and get as much work as they can to take advantage of the time. Nash did just that and he didn't waste any time. Prospect comes to our camp with zero offers, takes care of business and leaves with their first offer and gets the ball rolling there. That was the case for Garber 2025 offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='955653' first='Kooper' last='Hughes'] after he took home MVP honors for the offensive line group. He also earned an offer from NWOSU after their coaches were working with him all afternoon. Hughes was one of several prospects at that position that had really strong camps and we're fired up that he's already seeing that hard work paying off with his first offer. It was a tough position group to pick just one as those guys were ready to play. We ended up watching their group going one on one with the running backs for a decent amount of time and it felt like Torres was making positive plays every single rep he took. Torres is also ready for spring ball and for the pads to come on because he was very physical from start to finish. We had a few college coaches there that had him on their radar before the camp even began and he was able to live up to their hype and he should have an opportunity to play at the next level.","_player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_6_player":["988903"],"_player_evaluations_6_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"Quarterback was another position group that was loaded with dudes who made some big throws all throughout the camp. Weatherford 2025 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='988903' first='Stone' last='Chism'] ended up leading the pack and it was his consistency from start to finish that earned him the nod. We got a chance to watch Chism in person last fall and walked away impressed with his ability to tuck the ball and run and overall physicality. He wasn't able to use that on Saturday and just had to rely on his arm and throwing ability to get noticed. So we were pleasantly surprised by his passing on Saturday from start to finish and it was his arm that stole the show.
