The 2025 football season has kicked off and Prep Redzone Oklahoma will have new content every single day from now until the end of the season in December. Every Friday on Prep Redzone Oklahoma, we're throwing on the film and looking at prospects that we've never written about. For most of the players that we feature on these breakdowns, we'll know the names but we haven't had the chance to really write about them and break down what they bring to the football field. Here is where we do that. So check back every Friday as we look at five more names that we've never written about as we continue to provide the deepest coverage of Oklahoma high school football.

[player_tooltip player_id='1838872' first='Cameron' last='Quarrels Jr']. - Junior Wide Receiver - Edmond Memorial

Our first prospect is the first of two move ins from out of state. Edmond Memorial junior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1838872' first='Cameron' last='Quarrels Jr']. moved to Oklahoma from Arkansas this offseason and has given a Bulldog offense a significant boost. Edmond Memorial lost a lot offensively from last year's semifinal team. Through the first two games, Quarrels has shown that he can break a game open in the blink of an eye. Speed is the name of the game for Quarrels and he's showcased that game-breaking speed throughout the first few weeks. Coming into this season, we had been told that Quarrels was going to be a player that we needed to pay attention to and that has certainly been the case. The Bulldogs are still a run-heavy team but that sucks defenses in and that's when Quarrels can burn them with his speed when they need to take a deep shot. He's already shown that he's a breakout player and name to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1103004' first='Javen' last='Hall'] - Senior Running Back - Washington

Washington senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1103004' first='Javen' last='Hall'] was another move in from out of state this offseason. This summer, Hall moved to Oklahoma from Tennessee. Our PRZ-Tennessee writers covered Hall quite a bit during his time there and he was definitely a solid addition to Oklahoma's 2026 class. Last week was our first chance to see Hall in person as they squared off with Sulphur. Hall impressed us in limited action. He was splitting carries with an up and coming sophomore. Both running backs bring some different attributes to the Washington running game. For Hall, he's a guy that can shoulder a serious workload and be that every down back in an offense. The fact that Washington doesn't need him to be that will make him a very dangerous player in November and December. Hall has lived up to the hype so far based on what we read about him from his time in Tennessee and he's a player who could finish this year strong.

[player_tooltip player_id='1562281' first='Louden' last='Gregory'] - Freshman Quarterback - Little Axe

Last month, we put out an article looking at some of the freshmen to watch heading into this season. Little Axe quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1562281' first='Louden' last='Gregory'] was one of the players that was mentioned but we just had him as another name to know with no breakdown. Our mistake. Gregory has come out swinging this season, emerging as one of the top passers in the state. Now granted, he's only two games into his varsity career and Little Axe is 1-1 on the year but Gregory has been putting up some monster numbers. In his first career start, the freshman threw for over 400 yards and five touchdowns. He has seven touchdowns after two games and has yet to throw an interception. In that 400-yard game against Bethel, he also completed over 70 percent of his passes. Gregory is a 2029 prospect that was covered last fall by our PRZ-Next writers. He showed a lot of promise then and he's already backing it up this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1694450' first='Orlando' last='Williams'] - Junior Defensive Lineman - Jenks

Jenks junior defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1694450' first='Orlando' last='Williams'] looks like he's at the start of a breakout season for the Trojans this fall. We watched Williams in person back in the spring and then again during their season opener against Edmond Santa Fe. He was impressive both times and this is coming as he lines up on a Jenks defensive line that is talented but also deep and they will rotate guys in and out. So Williams has had to make the most out of his opportunities, coming into the game as an edge defender. There have been times when he's matched up with an offensive lineman that is significantly bigger and Williams finds a way to beat him. It's a combination of things that stick out about his game. More times than not, he has a big advantage in the technique category and his skillset is definitely something that separates him as he can beat guys in a variety of ways. He's a name to keep an eye on this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1831221' first='Sam' last='Hoback'] - Senior Defensive Back - Owasso

Our final prospect on this week's breakdown is another that we've been meaning to write about for a while now. After watching Owasso in person during the season opener and then watching highlights from the week one game, senior [player_tooltip player_id='1831221' first='Sam' last='Hoback'] has been one of the shining lights on the Owasso defense. First off, he has been a tackling machine from the first game of the year. Looking back at that Bixby game, we believe he was Owasso's leading tackler. From watching him in person and then again on film, he looks like a hybrid defender that would be comfortable in a few different positions at the next level. Hoback also doesn't need our help here as he's earned the attention of multiple schools, picking up offers over the last few weeks. But he's definitely a 2026 prospect that we should have been in on earlier. He has a nose for the football and always seems to be around the play on every snap.
