Aja Jones – 2025 – Team Grind Hard
We kick off the breakdown with a Tennessee standout that is on the rise after a very productive junior season. 2025 wide receiver Aja Jones will be playing for Team Grind Hard throughout the weekend and he has the potential to be one of the better receivers in attendance. Last fall, Jones would finish with just over 700 yards and 12 touchdowns on the season. He earned some accolades following his junior season and then absolutely tore it up at our PRZ-Tennessee camp earlier this year. Now he gets another opportunity to perform at a high level in a PRZ event.
Arnett Hayes – 2025 – Savages 7v7
Arnett Hayes is another 2025 Tennessee wide receiver to keep an eye on this weekend as he plays for Savages 7v7. Like Jones, Hayes was also one of the top performers at our PRZ-Tennessee camp earlier this year. And like Jones, Hayes was incredibly productive last fall. He emerged as a 1,000-yard receiver for his high school and finished with 14 touchdowns on the season. In addition to performing well at the PRZ-Tennessee camp, our writers have also seen Hayes play really well at 7v7 tournaments earlier this offseason and now he can do it on a big stage.
Dakota Hunter – 2026 – SOKY Elite
Wide receivers aren’t the only “receivers” that will be competing this weekend. We’ll see some outstanding running backs and tight ends throughout the two days in Tennessee. One of those tight ends to watch is 2026 TE Dakota Hunter out of Kentucky. He’ll be playing for SOKY Elite and he comes into this weekend as a top five tight end in the state’s 2026 class and is continuing to climb the overall rankings in that class. Hunter has impressed our writers on film and now we get a chance to see him in person. He has good size, hands and underrated athletic ability.
Derreon Rogers – 2026 – Fast Break Mean Green
Just like we mentioned with Hunter, the Fast Break Mean Green program out of Tennessee will have one of the better tight ends in attendance this weekend. 2026 tight end Derreon Rogers is listed on our PRZ-Tennessee site as a tight end but the FBMG coaches believe he’s a tight end/wide receiver hybrid type player and we’ll see that first hand this weekend. The biggest thing that stands out about Rogers is his ability to make catches in traffic. And in 7v7 tournaments, with no pads or tackling, that ability is usually taken up a notch so expect Rogers to be very productive.
Je’Dan Gilbert – 2024 – YOG Select
Let’s run it back one more time. At this time last year, 2024 standout Je’Dan Gilbert was playing for YOG Select and had his breakout moment at our Music City Mayhem tournament. Gilbert impressed not only the Prep Redzone writers in attendance but other media outlets and he got on the radar for college coaches moving forward. Gilbert followed that up with a strong senior season and now he’s still looking for his right spot at the next level. Simply put, Gilbert was one of the best players at our Tennessee tournament last year and he’s back to keep the crown.
Matrail Lopez – 2025 – C4 25’s
There are kids playing in the tournament this weekend that we’ll eventually see playing on Saturdays in the future. Oklahoma 2025 wide receiver Matrail Lopez is one of them and he’ll be suiting up for the C4 25’s group. Lopez committed to Oklahoma State earlier this year after receiving an offer from the Cowboys to play wide receiver. Lopez is one of the best two-way players in Oklahoma’s 2025 class but he has a goal of playing on offense in the future and OSU is making that happen. This C4 2025 group is going to be one of the more talented squads there.
Max Gainey – 2024 – 502 7v7
We mentioned this in our “QB To Watch” breakdown but 502 7v7 is coming down from Kentucky with some outstanding senior prospects and wide receiver Max Gainey is one of them. Last fall, Gainey was arguably the best wide receiver in Kentucky. He earned Player Of The Year honors and was incredibly productive throughout his senior season. And in that QB article, we put a spotlight on 502 7v7’s QB and it happens to be Gainey’s high school teammate. These two were absolutely electric last fall and now we get to see them one last time this weekend.
Mitrell Lewis – 2025 – Arkansas Elite
Arkansas Elite is making the trip east to Murfreesboro to participate and compete in the Music City Mayhem tourney. 2025 wide receiver Mitrell Lewis is definitely going to be a receiver to watch and it’s going to be hard to miss him. Lewis has measured in at 6’4 and is going to be a red zone nightmare for opponents this weekend. Coaches also like how smooth Lewis is with his movements and if you combine that size with precise route running, he’s going to be borderline unstoppable in a 7v7 setting. He’s an underrated gem in Arkansas’ 2025 class.
Trevy Barber – 2026 – Indy Select South
2026 wide receiver Trevy Barber is already rated as one of the best 2026 prospects in Kentucky so he certainly belongs on this breakdown as a player to watch. Indy Select South will have one of the best sophomore wide receivers in attendance with Barber, who is rated as a top five overall prospect in our PRZ-Kentucky 2026 rankings. Barber already has a handful of D1 offers and is coming off a sophomore season where he finished with 16 touchdowns. He’s a star in the making and we’re looking forward to seeing him in person against top competition.
Wils Jackson – 2025 – Mid TN Wolfpack
2025 tight end hybrid standout Wils Jackson is on our shortlist of prospects we can’t wait to see in person this weekend. Jackson looks the part physically and he is going to be a match-up nightmare for opponents in one on one situations, specifically near the goal line. Jackson stands at 6’5, weighs around 200 pounds and has been killing it in the weight room so you can’t push him around. Jackson also turns around and plays some defense. Our PRZ-Tennessee writers are very positive about Jackson and we are looking forward to seeing what the hype is about.
