Aivan Locklin – 2026 – C4 Sixers
The Oklahoma/Texas “C4” program is bringing a few teams to Tennessee this weekend and 2026 quarterback Aivan Locklin is a name to watch. He had an excellent sophomore season last fall and is performing well this offseason on the 7v7 circuit. And when you look at some of the talent that Locklin is going to have around him, he’s going to be able to produce at a high level. He has some absolute stars at wide receiver and this is going to be a team to watch. Locklin is one of the better 2026 QBs in Oklahoma.
Andre Adams – 2027 – Savages 7v7
2027 quarterback Andre Adams is the only freshman on this breakdown but he’s earned his spot here already. He’ll be playing for Savages 7v7 this weekend and he’s another name to watch. Adams was one of the better 14U quarterbacks in attendance at this tournament a year ago. Adams would then earn quarterback MVP honors at a Prep Redzone Next camp as an eighth grader. So needless to say, when we saw that Adams was going to be playing this weekend, he immediately got on this list.
Cayden Hofbauer – 2026 – YOG Select
YOG Select came to this tournament a year ago and had some players that became breakout prospects. 2026 quarterback Cayden Hofbauer is hoping that this weekend leads to a big spring and summer for the Alabama product. Hofbauer is already a ranked prospect on Prep Redzone Alabama so we’re looking forward to seeing him in person this weekend. And looking at some of the other players that YOG Select is bringing, Hofbauer is going to have a ton of playmakers to make plays.
Deuce Bailey – 2025 – Indy Select South
Indy Select South might have the best quarterback in attendance this weekend. 2025 signal caller Deuce Bailey will be playing for the Kentucky program and he already has a handful of D1 offers and is coming off a phenomenal junior season. Last fall, Bailey threw for over 3,500 yards and 43 touchdowns. He was one of the best players in the state of Kentucky and it’s not surprising when you see that production that he already has several D1 programs offering him and even more interested in him.
Grant Troutman – 2025 – Fast Break Mean Green
The Fast Break Mean Green program is expecting a breakout offseason from 2025 signal caller Grant Troutman this spring. Troutman is replacing a quarterback from last year’s team that has signed with Missouri. But Troutman could be the next guy up, not only for Fast Break Mean Green but in Tennessee in general. Coaches are excited about his potential with his arm angles and his ability to make throws on and off schedule. So Troutman is going to be a name to watch this weekend in Tennessee.
Kolter Smith – 2024 – 502 7v7
502 7v7 will feature several notable 2024 prospects heading into this weekend. And none more notable than senior quarterback Kolter Smith after he tore things up at this tournament a year ago. Smith was one of the top quarterbacks in attendance last year and then he had a magnificent senior season last fall. Smith has earned plenty of attention and has a very high on-field IQ and has used that to be one of the more productive quarterbacks in Kentucky. Now he returns to Tennessee to dominate.
Maddox Hampton – 2025 – Arkansas Elite
Arkansas Elite is making the trip to Murfreesboro and expecting to contend this weekend. 2025 quarterback Maddox Hampton is going to be a name to watch this weekend with his rocket attached to his shoulder. Hampton is also a baseball standout and in the middle of baseball season, Hampton is looking to fire strikes this weekend on the gridiron. Hampton was incredibly productive last season as a junior and has the potential to have the strongest arm on display this weekend in Tennessee.
Sam Evitts – 2025 – Mid TN Wolfpack
Our Prep Redzone Tennessee writers are very familiar with 2025 signal caller Sam Evitts heading into this weekend and we’re looking forward to seeing him compete. Evitts will be suiting up for Mid TN Wolfpack this weekend and he’s a quarterback prospect that has performed very well at Prep Redzone events in the past. Evitts certainly looks the part phsyically and is coming off a very productive junior season. The ceiling is very high for Evitts moving forward and we’re fired up to see what he can do.
Tyler Thompson – 2026 – Team Grind Hard
Team Grind Hard will have a few quarterbacks to watch this weekend. But 2026 signal caller Tyler Thompson is a player that they are excited about moving forward. Thompson primarily played on the JV team last fall but he’s moving up and expecting to have a breakout season this fall. It’s going to be good to see him in person this weekend and see him compete against some really good competition. This weekend could very well be the beginning of what is a breakout 2024 year for Thompson at QB.
Zay Howard – 2025 – SOKY Elite
Our final quarterback to watch is 2025 signal caller Zay Howard as he plays for SOKY Elite. Howard impressed us earlier this year at an event and he’s off to a great offseason. So with SOKY Elite coming to Murfreesboro this weekend, we’ll definitely have eyes on him and see if he can compete like we’ve seen from him this offseason. Howard has a lot of tools to be a breakout quarterback this fall. Howard impressed our writers nearly two months ago at a showcase event and is looking for more.
