If you thought it was going to be tough slowing their offense, good luck trying to even get the ball down the field. The Hun School’s defense has some of the best prospects in the country, so be ready for a tough gameday.
A player that could play on either side of the ball at the next level, Kamar Archie Kamar Archie 6’1″ | 215 lbs | RB The Hun School | 2025 State NJ has garnished a ton of attention on the defensive side of the ball. With offers already coming in from Georgia, Alabama, USC, Notre Dame, Michigan, and many more, Kamar stands out as one of the top linebacker prospects in the state. A terror to all run designs, Kamar blasts through the offensive line to force his way into the backfield. To go with his run stopping skills, Kamar is also able to stretch the field and cover sideline to sideline. He is able to open up his hips and change directions quickly to cut off any routes heading his direction. One of the fastest linebackers you’ll come across, look for Kamar to dominate in 2024.
Right from the start, I am amazed by how quickly Kole Briehler Kole Briehler 6’3″ | 240 lbs | DL Hun School | 2025 State NJ comes off of the line at the snap of the ball. He has the reaction time typically found in skill position players, but also has the power and elusiveness to beat blockers however he sees fit. When he gets past the first line of blockers, Kole zeroes in on the QB and quickly accelerates to force the pressure. The Hun School pass rush is unmatched within the state. Don’t be surprised if Kole is tearing QBs down to the ground before the receivers can even break on their routes.
Arguably the best all around prospect coming out of the NJ 2025 class, Luke Wafle Luke Wafle 6’2″ | 195 lbs | LB Middletown South | 2025 NJ is a building himself quite the reputation early in his career. Already receiving offers from Georgia, Texas, Notre Dame and Michigan, I truly believe Luke has the capabilities and qualities to develop into the next TJ Watt. A speedster off of the edge that can also use brute force to bring down his target, Luke is able to stay low to the ground as he rounds the edge and collapses the pocket. A edge rusher that can be in the backfield before the QB even sets his feet, Luke is another one of those monsters coming out of the Hun School.
What’s most impressive about The Hun School is practically every player could be recruited on either side of the ball. Griffin is another one of those gifted athletes that could play the H-back position but also shines on the opposite side of the line as well. As an interior defensive lineman, Griffin’s raw strength allows him to manhandle his opponents and deliver punishing hits to ball carriers. The Hun School has one of the strongest defensive fronts in the state, and I am not sure if any offense in the state is equipped to go up against them.
Another two way starter, Christian Soltis Christian Soltis 6’3″ | 205 lbs | WR The Hun | 2025 State NJ not only shines as a wide receiver but can also line up pretty much anywhere in the secondary. Thriving as a nickel back, Christian has a nose for the ball as he can fly upfield quickly to bring a swift stop to the play. With the instincts to pick up on play design immediately, Christian has the speed and agility to change directions fluidly and get in front of the receiver to break up the ball or pick it off. Receiving offers from Temple, Boston College, Army, Navy, and Penn, many more are sure to follow as the 2024 season nears.
