Expert Analysis
Brendan Mankarious | Prep Redzone Scout
A defensive back that I think many schools are sleeping on, Christina Soltis alternated between corner and safety. No matter his alignment, Soltis does many things well. First, he gets outstanding breaks on the ball and plays it with his hands at its highest point. Secondly, he is an excellent square-up and wrap low tackler that drives his legs through corner. With great size, Soltis uses it to his advantage to gain positioning and leverage when running routes at receiver. Very strong up top, he has a devastating stiff arm. Should he not get to the ball in time, Soltis will play the hands of the reciever. He also flies up and sets a hard edge in the alley against perimeter plays. Soltis has committed to Richmond.

has not higher up in other national media rankings, because he has some impressive film. This film, however, rather than being on one tape, was across four different ones. Soltis breaks on the ball extremely well and is excellent when squaring up to tackle. His tackle is low, wraps up, and drives his legs. The cornerback works the cover 3 skate technique very nicely, reacting and breaking on the ball really well from this posture as well. He high points with his hands and uses his size to gain positioning when fighting for the ball. Soltis sets a very hard edge on toss and sees reach blocks very well when he is lined up at safety. Disciplined, he will not abandon his drop until the quarterback has made a clear declaration to run. If the receiver does get their hands on the ball first, Soltis will violently play the ball to break up the pass.

collected yet another offer in late April. Marking his 15th collegiate interest to play football, The University of New Hampshire joins the list of contenders that Soltis has to choose from. Some of the other schools interested in Soltis include Holy Cross, Maine, Towson, Monmouth, Air Force, and Temple.

not only shines as a wide receiver but can also line up pretty much anywhere in the secondary. Thriving as a nickel back, Christian has a nose for the ball as he can fly upfield quickly to bring a swift stop to the play. With the instincts to pick up on play design immediately, Christian has the speed and agility to change directions fluidly and get in front of the receiver to break up the ball or pick it off. Receiving offers from Temple, Boston College, Army, Navy, and Penn, many more are sure to follow as the 2024 season nears.
