There is something about the game of swing defensive linemen that I enjoy watching. The Hun School graduates Griffin Galletta Griffin Galletta 6'3" | 235 lbs | DL The Hun School | 2025 State NJ this spring, and he is primed to be a favorite amongst whatever college staff courts him. Galletta’s game revolves around two things: hustle and motor. He is continually working and grinding, never giving up on a play. It is clear that he has the mindset that every play is his to make. This effort allows Galletta to convert his energy into good power rushes, where he is technically sound in working to play with his hands above his eyes. When 1-on-1 as a nose, centers have a tough time displacing him. Furthermore, when he is bounced around to a 3, 4i, or a 5, we see Galletta excel at getting hands on the man in front of him and squeezing down the line. His motor and effort allows him to split double teams often, especially when he goes to the swim/arm over move; he is equally as difficult to move when he is doubled.

What’s most impressive about The Hun School is practically every player could be recruited on either side of the ball. Griffin is another one of those gifted athletes that could play the H-back position but also shines on the opposite side of the line as well. As an interior defensive lineman, Griffin’s raw strength allows him to manhandle his opponents and deliver punishing hits to ball carriers. The Hun School has one of the strongest defensive fronts in the state, and I am not sure if any offense in the state is equipped to go up against them.

Has to be a pleasure to coach a kid with a motor like this. Griffin Galletta Griffin Galletta 6'3" | 235 lbs | DL The Hun School | 2025 State NJ had himself a night at DE/EDGE against Newtown this past weekend. A half sack shy of a three-sack night, Galletta was standing up his opponent and shedding at will, displaying awesome pursuit of the football as well. Good vision of the ball carrier while engaged with his matchup. Galletta already ranks as a top 120 prospect, yet more nights like this could place him in the top 50 in New England, he has that ceiling.
