Here are those players that made honorable mention in Class B; athletes that made an impact for their school but for one reason or another did not get the same recognition from New York State.
Gavin Schwab Gavin Schwab 6’0″ | 170 lbs | QB Pioneer | 2025 NY is a very good pocket passer and possesses excellent awareness. He has a quick release and puts the ball only where his receiver can get it. Schwab does not turn the ball over much as illustrated by his 11 to 1 TD to INT ratio. Pioneer has traditionally been a run first team so Gavin’s 1,820 passing yards in 2 seasons may not be earth shattering but he does have the intangibles to be a great leader. Gavin Schwab Gavin Schwab 6’0″ | 170 lbs | QB Pioneer | 2025 NY led the Panthers to the Class B Championship game in 2023. Pioneer lost but Schwab showed up big throwing for 243 yards and 4 touchdowns. Gavin will look to build off his impressive Junior season as a Senior in 2024.
Brayden Tryon Brayden Tryon 5’8″ | 155 lbs | RB Maryvale | 2025 State NY was probably the most overlooked player on the All State team, especially in Western New York. Tryon ran for 1,214 yards on just 123 carries and 24 touchdowns as a Junior. He added another 3 touchdowns on Kick Returns. He averaged a 5 to 1 touch to touchdown ratio. Brayden has the rare combination of speed, power and fantastic balance. His excellent vision and his patience on waiting for the play to develop made him difficult to defend. He has gained some interest from colleges in the area but his senior year should give him plenty of opportunities for more offers and another All State Team recognition.
Joshua Neeley Joshua Neeley 6’2″ | 200 lbs | LB Williamsville South | 2024 NY played both sides of the ball in his two seasons at Williamsville South. As a Wide Receiver and Outside Linebacker, Neeley showed excellent athleticism. Playing OLB, he is a very good pass rusher and can play coverage when needed. Neeley racked up 106 tackles (18 for loss) 1 sack, 4 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries in his Junior & Senior seasons. But it was WR where Josh received All State honors, catching 47 passes for 697 yards and 7 touchdowns. He has good football instincts, is able to find the open holes in defensive coverages and his soft hands mixed with his breakaway speed made him a terror to defend. A two sport star, Josh Neeley Josh Neeley WR Williamsville South | 2024 NY is sure to find himself receiving prestigious collegiate offers.
Keenan Banks Keenan Banks 6’3″ | 220 lbs | DL Maryvale | 2024 State NY is a playmaking Defensive End. Banks is quick off the ball and his football instincts are off the charts. He attacks the ball carrier with force and was dominate in his two years with Maryvale, racking up 102 tackles (30 for loss) and 13 sacks. Keenan also had a nose for the ball adding an interception, 2 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries to his resume. He also played some fullback and was a great lead blocker for a dynamic Flyers run game. Still uncommitted, Keenan Banks Keenan Banks 6’3″ | 220 lbs | DL Maryvale | 2024 State NY has received offers from Wagner College in NYC and Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. Banks is an aggressive player that can sure transition to the next level.

A two way starter at Center and Defensive Tackle, Jermaine Parsons Jermaine Parsons 5’8″ | 280 lbs | DL Cheektowaga | 2024 NY terrorized the opposition. A big body in the defensive line that can clog the holes and can penetrate the offense, he also displayed superior athleticism for a player of his size. As a Center, Parsons is a superb run blocker and consistently blocks downfield. He is constantly moving his feet and and blocks to the whistle. He is an undersized lineman but should get some looks from Division III schools or Junior Colleges.
