In this post, we’re putting the spotlight on the trenches. These guys were the best of the best along the offensive and defensive lines. Missouri 2027 offensive lineman Ace Herman-Dawson Ace Herman-Dawson 6'5" | 345 lbs | OL Battle | 2027 MO and Owasso 2025 defensive lineman Reese Satterwhite were covered earlier this week in our spotlight on the positional MVPs from the camp. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more camp breakdowns!
Edmond Santa Fe 2027 defensive lineman Elijah Tucker Elijah Tucker 5’8″ | 210 lbs | DL Edmond Santa Fe | 2027 OK is a dog. We’ll start the breakdown with that statement. Sunday’s camp was the third time we’ve seen Tucker in a camp setting, one padded and two without the pads. And routinely, Tucker is one of the smallest guys in the group. And routinely, he is also one of the best defensive linemen in attendance. Tucker absolutely got after it once again on Sunday. He does such a great job with his hands at the point of attack. He quickly neutralizes his opponent, no matter what the size difference is. What’s really impressive is when Tucker is working on the interior of the defensive line. Because he might be giving up 70-80 pounds to his opponent and it simply doesn’t matter. Tucker gets the job done and Sunday wasn’t the first time.

Coweta 2027 offensive lineman Hunter Reavis Hunter Reavis 6’0″ | 230 lbs | OL Coweta | 2027 State OK has done very well at Prep Redzone events. Last year, he attended our Prep Redzone Next camp in April and was the MVP pick from the offensive line. This year, he’s a freshman and is already on our radar for that position group in the state’s 2027 class. Reavis was once again one of the top performers from the offensive line on Sunday. He got an opportunity to perform in the “Best On Best” part of camp on Sunday afternoon and he did very well in the competition-portion overall. So in our eyes, Reavis picked up right where he left off from last year, when he dominated the PRZ-Next camp. And we’ll say this as well, Coweta has some dudes in that 2027 class. Look out for the Tigers to make some noise this season.

When I got a chance to go over the roster heading into Sunday’s camp, I immediately circled Sapulpa 2025 defensive lineman Isaac Shelton Isaac Shelton 6’1″ | 235 lbs | DL Sapulpa | 2025 State OK as a player to watch. Shelton was one of the best defensive ends in attendance on Sunday and he’s continued to gain momentum since around this time last year. Shelton is big, physical and he has a really good first step. When it was time to go into the one on one competitions, Shelton put the opposing tackles on ice skates with that quick first step. Shelton reacts and fires off and does a good job with his leverage, staying low and getting into the backfield in the blink of an eye. Shelton is a really good football player and it’s only a matter of time before he sees his recruitment start to gain a little momentum moving forward.

Sunday’s camp wasn’t the first time that we’ve had a standout from an 8-man school. Garber 2025 offensive lineman Jackson Weibling Jackson Weibling 6’0″ | 245 lbs | OL Garber | 2025 OK was the latest prospect to show that it truly doesn’t matter what your school’s enrollment is. If you can play, you can play. And the one thing that stood out to us about Weibling was his desire to compete and get better. That’s what these camps are for. The guys that want rep after rep and really accept the coaching that they receive are always going to stand out to us. And Weibling was another example of that on Sunday afternoon. Garber has a few prospects that are on our radar and after Sunday, Weibling showed that he certainly belongs. It’s going to be fun to see where he ends up as more of an interior guy or on the other side of the ball.

Every time we have a camp like on Sunday, we always have a few players that have those “breakout” moments and on Sunday, Hilldale 2027 defensive lineman Kaiden Ford Kaiden Ford 6’1″ | 275 lbs | DL Hilldale | 2027 OK was that guy. We didn’t know much about Ford coming into Sunday’s camp but he quickly got on our radar. Ford lined up everywhere along the defensive line and he found a way to get into the backfield. Ford is quick, strong and did a great job of learning new techniques to be successful. And we’ll throw this out there as well. Ford doesn’t look like a freshman in high school. Physically, Ford already looks the part and with our first 2027 prospect rankings coming out next week, it’s going to be interesting to see where he stacks up to the rest of the class. Ford is going to be a monster for Hilldale moving forward.

Colcord 2025 offensive and defensive lineman Khaleeal Penn Khaleeal Penn 6’2″ | 305 lbs | DL Colcord | 2025 State OK came back to the Prep Redzone camp for the third consecutive time and once again, he was one of the best in attendance. Penn got on our radar at this time last year when he was one of the MVPs for his work on the line of scrimmage. He dominated again at the April camp and on Sunday, he was one of the best defensive linemen in attendance. Penn went to work as a defensive tackle and the raw power he has was a big problem for a lot of opposing linemen on Sunday afternoon. Penn got physical from the start and he even got busted up but shrugged it off and was ready to go again. Penn is an absolute force on the line of scrimmage and we’re looking forward to seeing what he and Colcord do this fall.

Edmond Memorial 2025 offensive lineman Parker Howell Parker Howell 6’3″ | 265 lbs | OL Edmond Memorial | 2025 State OK was on our radar coming into Sunday’s camp and we couldn’t help but be impressed with his performance. Howell was a tactician along the offensive line and does a really good job of firing off the ball and quickly locking on to his defender. When I got a chance to see Howell in various one on one competitions, he was primarily working from the tackle position. He did a good job against the opposing edge rushers who were looking to use their speed and power to get around Howell. But the quick feet and hands from the Edmond Memorial Bulldog made that a problem. As we mentioned, Howell was already on our radar in the state’s 2025 class but it was good to see him in person and going against good competition.
