Quarterback MVP
Tucker came up to Murfreesboro looking to make a name for himself and I believe he did just that as by the end of camp, the Saints junior quarterback earned MVP honors at his position for his excellent play throughout the entire combine. Having to sit behind a veteran the past two seasons, Tucker is poised to be the starter this Fall and by all indications throughout camp, the Saints rising junior is ready to take the reins. What I and others liked most about Tucker was his arm strength and ability to place the ball accurately but also take to directions very well. Saturday was just the beginning for Tucker as I expect to hear more good things out of this West TN talent over the coming months.

Running Back MVP
Undersized but compact with good feet, Riggins had a strong showing in Murfreesboro on Saturday as the MVP winner for the running backs and a guy that we must look deeper into as a current under the radar talent. Where Riggins earned his top honor the most was during positional work where linebackers had a hard time keeping him in check due to his burst and quick feet in short spaces. The Bulldogs running back also displayed strong hands, catching the ball out the backfield, which certainly helps his stock. Riggins does share the backfield but should see an increase of carries this Fall with one piece of the Bearden RB room headed off to college.

Receiver MVP
One of the fastest competitors at the PRZTN Winter Showcase, Jones had an outstanding day as he dominated throughout testing then proceeded to excel in 1 on 1’s where nobody could guard this Mid-Tennessee talent. The Tigers rising senior earned WR MVP honors by the end of camp due to his athleticism, speed and ability to separate from defenders. Prior to this combine, Jones was already viewed by me as a top 10 in-state receiver for the #TN2025 class and he only continued that narrative with his camp performance yesterday, pushing his stock even further. This is a true hidden gem with D1 upside!

Tight End MVP
Harper is starting to get back into full form and it showed big time on Saturday at the PRZTN Winter Showcase where this Nashville area tight end earned top honors for his position while also boosting his recruiting stock further. A sure handed pass catcher and sound route runner, Harper excelled during his positional work then consistently hauled in passes against good defensive competition during 1 on 1’s. The Bears rising senior was one of the more consistent performers of all positions at the Siegel Soccer Complex and that’s not surprising as Harper has been that way since he stepped on the high school field as a freshman, so expect to hear more and more about this reliable tight end moving forward.

Off. Lineman (Co-MVP’s)
Competing at center on the O-line, Bakker had a stellar day displaying athleticism during his testing then excelling at 1 on 1’s where he shared MVP honors as the top O-lineman of camp. The Fighting Irish senior to be sports a well built body along with nice bend and good feet to become an excellent center or guard prospect over the coming months. What earned Bakker MVP honors was his ability to produce clean snaps while also consistently staying in front of his man. He will need to continue adding more weight but the potential is there for Bakker to turn into an FCS, possible D1 prospect over time.

This guy was someone I was eager to scout in person and Goforth definitely lived up to his hype as he was an absolute beast that wowed multiple people with his technique sound blocking. There was no question that Goforth was the best O-lineman at camp as he excelled in just about every area from testing to 1 on 1 competition. The Cherokees junior has a great body along with a powerful lower base and good feet but his maturity and understanding of his technique is what blew people away the most. You better get to know about this guy now because he will soon blow up into a Power Five, D1 prospect sooner than later.

Def. Lineman MVP
Elijah Daniels
Elijah Daniels
Traveling up from Chattanooga to the Boro, Daniels came ready to compete by showing off a variety of skills from his D-tackle position that earned him top MVP honors for the Winter Showcase. The Chargers rising junior sports good size and a nice frame for added weight but also good lower base mobility and strength that translates well to the next level. Trust me, this East TN product earned this honor as he went up against a very talented O-line that had their wins versus Daniels but he won more than his fair share as the Showcase’s top overall performer from the defensive line.
Linebacker MVP
Szymborski was one of the top names from the defensive side of the ball headed into camp and the East TN talent definitely lived up to the hype. The 6’2 rising senior displayed excellent work from the testing portion of the combine all the way into drill work and 1 on 1’s where Szymborski showed off his upside as a potential D1 prospect. He had solid test scores but it was his work during positional drills and competition against the running backs that earned him linebacker MVP honors. Szymborski is already flirting with some P5, D1 and FCS schools and I only expect that interest to build over the offseason as this #TN2025 linebacker continues to turn heads.

Def. Back MVP
Isaac Summey
Isaac Summey
Coming into camp as an unknown, Summey stepped up to the plate big time against bigger and older competition but more than held his own as the Boyd Buchanan defender walked away with MVP honors. What stood out the most to me about Summey was his ability to play press coverage well then stay on path with his receiver. He was unphased by the bigger wideouts as well as showed a mature outlook about himself that tells me that Summey is a name to watch for over the next few years. If the Bucs rising sophomore continues performing this offseason like he did on Saturday, he will get more attention and watch his stock rise.
