Riggins also stands out with his durable edge, proving he can stay on his feet under pressure. With great speed and physicality on the ground, it’s no surprise that Riggins walked away from Murfreesboro as the running back MVP.

What I liked about Riggins was his size and physical edge, utilizing his core strength and outstanding speed to send a message during the positional drills portion of the showcase. I also like how Riggins operates in the pocket, proving he can stay on his feet and quickly overpower his opponent. Riggins also stands out with his quick movement, proving he can quickly dodge and weave tackles.

Undersized but compact with good feet, Riggins had a strong showing in Murfreesboro on Saturday as the MVP winner for the running backs and a guy that we must look deeper into as a current under the radar talent. Where Riggins earned his top honor the most was during positional work where linebackers had a hard time keeping him in check due to his burst and quick feet in short spaces. The Bulldogs running back also displayed strong hands, catching the ball out the backfield, which certainly helps his stock. Riggins does share the backfield but should see an increase of carries this Fall with one piece of the Bearden RB room headed off to college.
