I took a timeout to review the roster of attendees. It is deep. It is strong. Here were a handful of names that I am looking forward to seeing live and in person.
A prospect that I first saw at the Jersey Juice event last spring where he won defensive line MVP, Loftin has been a quick riser on recruiting boards across the country. Since I first encountered him in the spring, it has been reported that Loftin has picked up scholarship offers from FBS schools such as: Boston College, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, and West Virginia. This season I saw him in action and he was a load to handle. In only 7 games, Loftin made 33 tackles (23 solos) with 8 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, 1 blocked kick, and 1 pick. Loftin is versatile, as he has played off the edge, in a 4i, standup edge, and even a stacked backer. He is uber-athletic and plays the game with passion.

Coan is the type of prospect that makes me wish I got to cover New York. At 6’4″ and having only just completed his sophomore season, he should be a bonafide prospect atop the New York rankings for the next few years. A quick glance of his film shows that he can sling the ball into tight windows effectively. He has good weight transfer when loading up to throw and can quickly reset his feet when moving in the pocket. That said, he can effectively roll out and throw to either side of the formation. Coan also places the ball in places where it is safe and secure for only his target can make a play on it.

Having just played a tough, grind-it-out state championship game where many seniors led the way, Delbarton is ready to reload. Along the line, they will look to Max Markho Max Markho 6’1″ | 265 lbs | OL Delbarton | 2027 State NJ to step up and be a big part of their plans. At about 6’2″ 250lbs, Markho just completed his freshman campaign and will look to make a seamless transition to varsity.

At 6’5″ 255lbs, I expect few prospects to be bigger than then Manasquan prospect Adam Murphy Adam Murphy 6’5″ | 260 lbs | OL Manasquan | 2025 NJ . Taking his recruiting to a whole other level, Murphy has a 78 3/4 wingspan and 8 1/2 hands. Given his size, I think Murphy might have been born to play offensive line. A quick look-see at his film shows that he is nasty. He loves to get his body into defenders and drive them to the ground. He maintains a solid base when drive blocking and has glimpses of rolling his hips upward into his matchup low-to-high.

McDougald was a player that shined when I got a chance to watch him live and in person. Playing safety, McDougald is a strong man-coverage defender who rarely gets either outs out-leveraged or out-positioned. He was not challenged too much when playing centerfield; however, he fills the ally like a bat-out-of-hell, playing aggressive in run support. A quality tackler, he made sure no big plays were sprung loose if he got hands on a ball carrier. Lastly, he is more than capable to lower the boom, leveling defenders and dislodging balls loose.
