Today, we will be focusing on some of the top 2026 wide receivers in Kentucky that have established themselves as explosive playermakers and have helped keep their team’s hopes alive in the playoffs.
rnAt the top of my list of notable performers is Trevy Barber Trevy Barber 5’9″ | 155 lbs | WR Bowling Green | 2026 State KY , a wide receiver at Bowling Green High School. Barber and the Purples are coming off a 48-6 victory over Apollo this past week. Barber impresses me with his electric speed off the snap, ability to attack the ball in the air and his consistent catching ability in the endzone. I also like Barber’s effort in coverage, showing off his ability to break tackles and maneuver the field on his way to the house.

rnI am additionally impressed with Marlon Harbin Marlon Harbin 5’11” | 170 lbs | WR Saint Xavier | 2026 State KY , a wide receiver at St. Xavier High School. Harbin and the Tigers picked up a 58-0 blowout win over Oldham County last week. Harbin can contribute on both sides of the ball, showing off his ability to put points on the scoreboard on both sides. Offensively, Harbin impresses me with his breakaway speed down the stretch as well as his catching ability, recording a long-range touchdown pass. On the defensive end, Harbin showed off his awareness and ability to adapt, also hauling in a pick-six.

rnClaiming the number three spot on my list is Chadyn Morris Chadyn Morris 6’1″ | 185 lbs | WR Owensboro | 2026 State KY , a wide receiver at Owensboro High School. Morris and the Red Devils recorded a 67-0 blowout victory over Ohio County this past week. Morris makes a considerable difference with his footwork and ability to dodge and weave the defense, proving his ability to quickly pick up yards on the ground after the catch. Morris also stands out with his ability to add speed and use his physicality to break tackles as he barrels into the endzone.

rnAnother skilled prospect to keep an eye on is Colin Jefferson Colin Jefferson 6’0″ | 165 lbs | WR Male | 2026 State KY , a wide receiver at Louisville Male High School. Jefferson and the Bulldogs earned a 49-15 victory over Great Crossing this past week. Jefferson stands out with his ability to haul in deep passes under heavy pressure from the defense, proving his overwhelming strength and relentlessness in coverage. Jefferson’s ability to juke out the defense and utilize bursts of speed to break free of pressure is another aspect of his playstyle that has made the difference this season.

What impresses me the most about Burke is his breakaway speed and ability to quickly cut in for the pass, proving he can adapt to the defense in coverage, utilize his versatility to haul in challenging passes and force his way into the endzone. Burke’s ability to beat the defense from along the edge as a kick returner also stands out, proving he can put the offense in a solid field position to start the drive.
