Took a peek at Maines mid-season, along with some Post-season clips on Hudl. Balanced right tackle with strong enough limbs to knock edge rushers off with a straight arm. Block radius is wide, heavy arm user. Good locater after releasing for screens. Will be able to match power opposite him the majority of the time. Sticks a good punch, good helmet shock and is often seen engaging with pad level lower than defenders out of his three-point stance. Can run to the closest hash to seal off edges when calling sweeps or outside zone runs, same when getting out in front of screens, weighing 265 helps too. Likes to kick back and shove when in pass-pro. Had some violent finishes in his latest playoff tape, want to see more of that. Excited to get him ranked in the next month or so.

Dropped a regular season tape 12 days before this post. Another weapon at Roman’s disposal who attempts to make the most out of opportunities while surrounded by equally gifted wideouts and backs. Primarily a screen option when deployed on offense, yet has different route options in some sets. Awesome straight-line speed, allowing Mines to find a crease after the catch near the LOS is a no-brainer. Slants, swings, outs, let Mines work with blocking in the open field and he could break one. The same can be said for Mines when serving as a punt return man. Given the opportunity, Mines could exploit bad/undisciplined punt coverage and take one the distance. He’s competitive too, watch him willingly block and put some kids on their backsides, he hardly weighs 150 pounds. Impressive. Will likely see a larger role next Fall. Good contributor.

Eval based on Regular Season and Post Season highlight tapes. A massive gap-eater when deployed inside, either shading the center or aligned at nose guard. Witnessed absolutely wrecking running plays after the handoff. If there is any confusion up-front and Webb is left unblocked after the snap, chalk it up as a loss, this young man needs to be accounted for. Quality reps at right tackle too, where he likely projects when talking next-level football. Is a good down-blocker from his position, although he looks a bit more natural on the defensive side of the field, less thinking involved. Will be played around with by coaches in terms of position. I find it unlikely that local schools can’t find a 300+ 6’5 behemoth somewhat useful to the program. I preach patience with this young man.

Very limited tape, yet he’s still an underclassman at a loaded program. Carries a DB build, asked to play in the box at times and rotate down from his DB/S position. Testament to his temperament on the field, he’s small, yet coaches trust him a bit to go out there and help out in run support. I’m assuming most of his reps come in games that are out of reach. Has some special teams reps on tape too. Will be a name I stash moving forward.

Happy to see a complete tape out of Roman Thompson Roman Thompson 6’0″ | 200 lbs | ATH Pittsburgh Central Catholic | 2027 State PA . The fact that he was able to produce this well considering some of the talent in front of him as well as surrounding him is a feat in itself. Tape begins with impressive run plays that mirror his tough linebacking playstyle. Understanding gap schemes translates to the offensive side of the football. What’s more impressive are the LB reps on tape. Stationed as the fill man in a 3-4 Under front. Despite hype, he plays like he’s out to prove something with each rep. I focused on his first step when the play was flowing away or toward him, no false steps to be seen. Runs to the flat well and wins 1v1s easily. Will react to his zones better the more mature he gets, this will come with time, yet he’s already looking like an upperclassman compared to some I see in Eastern Pennsylvania. Special football player whose jump from year one to year-two will be special.

Eval coming off his mid-season tape, as well as an in-person eval from what I recorded against Penn Charter. Is often aligned in the backfield as an off-line tight-end, one who has sprung open some big runs after some serious seals. Impact blocker is his primary role. Can block in-line too, can get his backside in the hole and seal but can also stalk block downfield, can get out in space thanks to his relatively slim build but still pack a punch to knock/deter DBs. Wondering if he sees more targets or is more involved in the passing game with Sean Brodnik Sean Brodnik 6’4″ | 230 lbs | TE The Haverford School | 2024 State PA moving on to the next level. I’ll keep my eye on him for sure. Solid tape for an underclassman.

Has a robust, ten-minute-long tape showcasing what we thought we’d see from a prospect with a ton of pre-season hype surrounding his name. Varsity player, starts off his tape releasing from an in-line alignment, navigates through the linebacking core, runs a corner route for a touchdown. Very next rep, Hatton is seen bull-rushing a tackle deep into the pocket, extending and shedding to close on a QB for a sack. This is extensive experience and production for a young man who will fly up our ranks. Seen stalk-blocking while being split out wide and moving kids way off the ball. Has a couple of awesome pancakes while impact blocking as a backside TE. Love how creative WA is with this kid, not much is off-limits, which speaks to how quickly Hatton has earned trust out of his coaches. This is some of the better tape I’ve plugged into out of any 2027 in the state. Is an only-a-matter-of-time type prospect.
