These prospects have taken their game to another level this past year and have established themselves as high-level playmakers.
At the top of my list of notable performers is Kade Goodin Kade Goodin 6’2″ | 170 lbs | QB Collins | 2027 State KY , a quarterback at Collins High School. What makes Goodin so explosive at the helm of the Titans’ offense is his unpredictable playstyle. Goodin showcased his ability to outsmart the defense on the ground and hit his receivers in stride anywhere on the field. Goodin also stands out with his quick release and precision, proving he can complete challenging touchdown passes under pressure.
I am additionally impressed with Jayden Justice Jayden Justice 5’8″ | 165 lbs | LB Pikeville | 2027 State KY , a linebacker at Pikeville High School. Justice had an outstanding year on the Panthers’ defense, proving himself as one of the top tackling weapons on the roster. What makes Justice so impressive is his speed off the snap as well as his physical edge, proving he can blast past the defense in the pocket, stop the rush and consistently apply pressure on the quarterback. Justice’s versatility and ability to read the offense also contributed to his success on the field this past year.
Another skilled prospect to watch for is Austyn Lawless Austyn Lawless 6’0″ | 200 lbs | LB Somerset | 2027 State KY , a defensive lineman at Somerset High School. Lawless has been a defensive gamechanger for the Briar Jumpers this past season, stunning the offensive line with his size and strength. Lawless is so dangerous due to his commanding intensity on stops, proving he can blast the offense and force turnovers. Lawless also stands out with his ability to find openings in the pocket to apply pressure and sack the quarterback.
Highlights
Coming in at number five on my list is Jordan Haskins Jordan Haskins 5’11” | 170 lbs | DB Bryan Station | 2027 State KY , a defensive back at Bryan Station High School. Haskins has made his presence known for the Defenders due to his relentlessness in coverage and ability to disrupt passing. Another aspect of Haskins that impresses is his ability to read the long pass, quickly down receivers after the catch and attack the ball in the air. Haskins also proved he can protect the backfield and disrupt the rush, using his solid footwork and electric speed to quickly down playmakers.
