What a week we had in Week 2! High scoring offenses going back and forth from start to finish. Individual performances where athletes carried a huge workload that contributed to big time team success. Victories that many would consider upsets. We are diving into it all today with a look at the best offensive performances from Week 2. If they aren’t on your radars now, make sure to check out the film. Let’s get it started!
Stats: 29 Carries, 342 Yards Rushing, 4 TDsrnWhat a start to the year for the Janesville Parker senior! Cayden has spent his early HS career at WR on offense, and has made the switch the RB this fall. That has returned huge dividends for the under the radar prospect. Cayden has outstanding traits for the RB position. His vision and instincts with the ball in his hands are very strong, and a natural gift. He sees the field, capitalizes on blocks, and is patient before bursting through the gap to top speed. Over these first two weeks Cayden has proven to be a natural playmaker at the position. Someone who can make the unusual play look easy, and be a threat with every touch. Give the film a look. A team is getting a massive steal here.

Stats: 2 Receptions, 27 Yards, 2 TDsrnThe 6’2″ 205 lbs senior TE/H Back stepped up when the offense needed him. He turned both his receptions into TDs, and you have to click on the tape to see the first one. Brady uses a delayed release to get wide open, makes the catch, turns up field and runs clean through the defender before finishing to the endzone. Jensen was just as violent with his blocking on the edge. He helped spring RBs loose by breaking contain with his blocks. The senior has a well balanced game and the size, strength, and athleticism to be lined up all over the field to create mismatches.

The standout Middleton left tackle only played a little over a half of football on Friday, but he didn’t let that stop him from piling up the pancakes and highlights of him throwing defensive players around the field. The long, lean left tackle has a great base of strength and heavy hands that pummel defenders. The big man also demonstrated good agility in his pass set to pick up blitzers or stunts attacking the edge. No question, the senior has the nasty mentality you want in the trenches too. Hudson is one of the best uncommitted seniors in WI. Check out his film from this past week and this season.

Stats: 256 Rushing Yards, 4 TDsrnLogan is making a big early season push to be one of the biggest risers in the rankings after the season. Coaches, I suggest checking out the film of the early season breakout RB. Logan was a man on a mission this past Friday vs one of the top teams in the state. He ran hard, churned his feet through contact for extra yards, and always fell forward. Rufledt followed his blocks, showed patience behind the line, and showed some lateral agility between the tackles to avoid defenders in tight spaces. The 190 lbs senior has shown he can be a workhorse back and do the dirty work between the tackles. Plus he adds the ability to get outside of contain and do damage in space. I’ll be keep a close eye on the Tomah senior and the team’s hot start.
Stats: 232 Rushing Yards, 4 TDsrnThe 6’3″ 210 lbs senior RB is a massive prospect, and for another season he is proving to be a massive piece of a talented River Falls offense. Jonah piled up big plays after big play on Friday night. He was a north-south, downhill runner, and showed off the power as he ripped through arm tackles without barely being slowed down. Jonah has an upright running style, but it doesn’t seem to hinder his ability to pile up the yards after contact. Plus he has the speed to pull away in the open field with his second gear. The senior has the size, athleticism, and strength to help a college team in multiple ways. Don’t overlook the senior.
Stats: 15/23, 325 Yards, 6 TDsrnI have anxiously been waiting to see game film of the junior signal caller since he broke out at the last Prep Redzone WI Showcase. Landon has great size for the position at 6’4″ 205 lbs. Despite his big frame, Landon has a quick release. He does a good job of using his lower body to create the torque to get velocity on the ball. Even when outside the pocket you see the hips flip and the ball jump out of his hand. Lopez was very aggressive in Week Two. Accurately pushing the ball to level two and three of the field. Greendale needed every bit of his big time throws too to pull off the 48-40 victory. Coaches, if you are going to be adding to your QB rooms in the Class of 2025 make sure to give this kid a look. There is a lot to work with.

Stats: 18 Carries, 345 Yards, 6 TDs, 8 TacklesrnWhat a night from the New Berlin West junior! The 5’9″ 165 lbs RB did everything he could to help New Berlin West stay with the high powered Menomonee Falls offense on Friday night. Sean dominates with his elusiveness, and agility in tight quarters plus his ability to accelerate out of a jump cut or juke. Sean has created a lot of highlight plays that start with him making front seven defensive players miss, and then running away from the rest of the field. Despite not being the biggest athlete, Sean has also shown a low center of gravity, and the leg drive to be able to run through outstretched arm tackle attempts. The junior has been a walking highlight reel so far this season, piling up 8 TDs in two weeks and nearly 500 rushing yards.
Stats: 27 Carries, 282 Yards, 5 TDsrnAnother senior looking to push himself up the board is Greenfield’s senior RB David Fischer David Fischer 5’10” | 180 lbs | RB Greenfield | 2024 State WI . The first thing that stands out is how much it looks like he has improved overall since his junior season. His highlights show the open field speed to be able to easily pull away from the defense. David is a decisive runner who trusts his blocks, and will lower his shoulder and do his part to pick up the tough yards between the tackles. Fischer has a solid combo of speed and power in his 5’10” 180 lbs frame. I’m excited to see how he continues to contribute to this offense. Should be a big senior year.

Stats: 4 Receptions, 184 Yards, 2 TDsrnThe now 5’10” 175 lbs junior WR out of Sauk Prairie has been off to a hot start this season! Boden isn’t even top 30 in receptions, yet he is second ovearll in receiving yards. A great example of how much of a big lay threat he is developing into. Right off the bat, you see that Frosch has the next level speed to be able to get behind the defense and track down the ball in the air. Boden isn’t just a speedster that stretches the field. He is also blessed with excellent quickness, body control, and agility to be able to run sharp, sudden routes that open up a lot of separation, and he has a nose for soft spots in coverage. Big things are ahead for the junior. Get on him early.
Highlights
Stats: 6 Receptions, 86 Yards, 2 TDsrnThe rising junior prospect has transitioned his great spring/summer right into a great start to the 2023 season. He currently sits atop the list for receiving TDs in the state after adding two against Monroe HS. The 5’11” 185 lbs WR ran a 4.7 at the PRZ WI Showcase this spring, and it carried over to the field where he easily got behind the defense with that speed as well as some savvy double moves. Kiel plucks the ball out of the air, and has the agility to make DBs miss in space. The big play athlete is a name to know.
Stats: 14/21, 304 Passing Yards, 3 TDsrnThe senior passer from Kaukauna is off to a hot start. He is Top 10 in passing yards, passing yards per game, and QB Rating. The 6’2″ 185 lbs senior has a big time arm. The way the ball explodes out of his hand when he really lets it rip should catch the attention of the next level. He proved he can keep that arm strength while on the run too. Finnley really separates himself from the crowd with his accuracy. The film also shows the coveted clutch gene as he converted multiple 3rd & longs with his arm. Finnley also adds the athleticism to be able to hurt a defense with his legs, but he doesn’t look to run too early in the play. Stay tuned into the Kaukauna QB’s season.
