For the state of Kentucky, the updated Top 150 rankings for the talented 2025 class have been posted. With that being said, I will be taking the next couple weeks to breakdown these updated rankings by position. After already covering the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, I will now turn my attention to our top two-way players or “ATH” in the class of 2025 in the state of Kentucky.
With an outstanding sophomore season, Montavin Quisenberry Montavin Quisenberry 5’9″ | 160 lbs | ATH Boyle County | 2025 State KY established himself as the top overall player in his class in the state of Kentucky. Quisenberry truly did it all for the Rebels’ offense last season. He finished this past season as his team’s leading receiver, catching 57 passes for 833 yards and 13 touchdowns. Quisenberry showed the ability to use his speed and quickness to his advantage to create separation from opposing defensive backs. He is also electric after the catch, showing the speed and elusiveness to turn short passes into big plays at any given moment. Montavin is also very dynamic as a ball carrier, finishing his sophomore year with 96 carries for 1,009 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also plays a key role on special teams as a returner and defense as a defensive back. Last season, Quisenberry returned three punts and three kickoffs for touchdowns while also coming away with three interceptions. Montavin currently holds offers from Michigan, Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Louisville, and I expect that list of offers to grow as he is a true Power 5 caliber prospect.
Antonio Harris Antonio Harris 6’0″ | 170 lbs | ATH Louisville Male | 2025 State KY is another player that has continued to prove that he is one of the best overall players in the state of Kentucky. Harris had a very impressive season on both sides of the ball as a sophomore. On offense, he finished as Male’s leading receiver, catching 36 passes for 684 yards and 10 touchdowns. Harris lines up mainly in the slot where he has shown very good route running ability. He is able to use his speed and smooth breaks to create separation from opposing defensive backs with ease. Harris is also a very reliable defensive back. He has shown the versatility to play both in the slot at nickel and on the outside at corner. Antonio is very impressive in man coverage, using his physicality to jam receivers off the line of scrimmage while also showing the speed to open up and run with them to mirror their routes. When the ball is thrown his way, Harris does a great job of breaking on the ball to make a play, finishing this past season with two interceptions and several pass deflections. Harris currently holds offers from Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, Purdue, and Louisville, and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play on either side of the ball at a Power 5 program.
Connor Hodge Connor Hodge 6’1″ | 160 lbs | ATH Christian Academy of Louisville | 2025 State KY is a player that had a breakout year on both sides of the ball last season. He played a key role in CAL’s high-powered offense as a sophomore, catching 30 passes for 472 yards and eight touchdowns. Hodge lines up in the slot where he uses his quick release and speed to blow by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. He is also very impressive after the catch, using his speed to simply run away from the defense. On defense, Hodge lines up at corner where he finished this past season with 31 tackles, three tackles for loss, and five interceptions. He has very impressive ball skills, showing the ability to attack the ball at its highest point to come away with the interception. Hodge has also shown the ability to make plays after the interception, returning two for touchdowns last season. He has also proven to have special teams value as a returner, breaking away for several long returns this past season. Hodge currently holds offers from East Carolina, Ball State, Georgia Southern, Central Michigan, Southeast Missouri State, Eastern Kentucky, and UT Martin , and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play on either side of the ball at the Division I level.
Joining Hodge on a very talented CAL team is fellow junior Trey Cotton Trey Cotton 6’1″ | 180 lbs | ATH Chrisitian Academy of Louisville | 2025 State KY . As a sophomore, Cotton finished the year as the team’s leading receiver, catching 51 passes for 967 yards and 12 touchdowns. Cotton lines up on the outside where he is a very impressive route runner, using smooth breaks to create separation from opposing defensive backs. He also has shown the ability to use his athleticism to go up and catch passes at their highest point, making him a very reliable jump ball and contested catch target. On defense, Cotton is a very reliable safety. He has shown the ability to sit back in the secondary and read the quarterback, breaking on the ball with perfect timing to make a play. Cotton finished his sophomore year with four interceptions and returned one for a touchdown. He has also proven to be reliable against the run, showing the ability to fill the lane and make tackles in the open field. Trey currently holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky and I expect more to come his way as he is a true Division I caliber prospect.
Ethan Moore Ethan Moore 6’2″ | 190 lbs | ATH Madison Southern | 2025 State KY is a player that recently climbed up our rankings following an impressive sophomore year and off-season. Moore plays a key role on both sides of the ball for Madison Southern. On offense, he finished as his team’s leading receiver, catching 25 passes for 415 yards and three touchdowns. He is a dangerous deep threat on the outside, using his speed to run by opposing defensive backs. Moore is also a very reliable safety on defense. He finished this past season with 34 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one interception. Ethan has shown the ability to sit back in coverage and read the quarterback then break on the ball with perfect timing to make a play. He is also reliable against the run, showing the ability to come downhill and make tackles in the open field. Moore currently holds offers from Kentucky and Union College, and I expect more to come his way as he has begun to establish himself as a true Division I prospect.
