One of the most formidable and dangerous dual-threat quarterbacks in the state this season, Grant turned in his most prolific single-game rushing total this fall in the Indians’ 33-13 win over Butler County, breaking out for 224 yards, 3 touchdowns and 1 two-point conversion on only 8 carries. Topping the 200-yard mark in rushing for the second time this fall, he also completed 4 of 11 pass attempts for 36 yards and another touchdown and now averages over 280 yards of total offense per outing. Currently ranked #5 among all Class AAA rushers (11th statewide), he has produced 1,165 yards and 16 touchdowns on 127 carries while also completing 80 of 148 pass attempts for 1,093 yards and 11 scores. Coupled with exellent straight line speed, Grant’s elusiveness and ability to change direction efficiently combine to make him a challenging opponent to tackle one-on-one in the open field. Currently averaging 13.8 points per game, he is the #6 scorer in Class AAA (#19 statewide). A dynamic competitor with multiple skills, he projects favorable to a number of offensive skill positions at the next level.

Lane Grant Lane Grant 6'1" | 200 lbs | ATH Adair County | 2025 State KY is another player that stood out to me this past week. He helped lead his team to a huge victory over Monroe County. Grant started at quarterback where he was very impressive as a passer, completing 14/19 passes for 351 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions. He also finished the game as his team’s leading rusher. Lane ran the ball five times for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Grant doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is definitely a player that college coaches should keep an eye on.

After finishing last season as the Indians’ leading pass receiver and #6 tackler, Grant’s athleticism and competitiveness compelled his full-time switch to quarterback for his junior year and thus far, he has shown steady, substantial improvements in both the running and passing games while helping lead his squad to a 4-1 start. In Adair County’s most recent contest, a 50-28 win over Monroe County, he completed 14 of 19 pass attempts for 351 and 4TDs, along with another 98 yards and 2 additional touchdowns rushing on 5 carries. Currently the #6 passer in Class AAA, he has completed 55 of 89 total passes for 868 yards and 9 total touchdowns while also rushing for 633 yards and 10 touchdowns on 75 carries–numbers currently placing him 12th among Class AAA rushers. Currently averaging 301 yards of total offense per game, Grant clearly continues to refine passing game mechanics that are making him a legitimately confounding double threat offensively.
