I really love watching Tayshawn play. He’s got really good vision, and a great burst of speed through the hole. His balance and speed is elite, with a ton of home run potential. What I love is that he isn’t afraid to block in pass protection either, which is a big plus. He’s displayed in incredible ability to look wrapped up in the hole, and he dance his way out of trouble and breaks it for a big gain. I will be looking for Tayshawn to make that next step up, as I already got him pegged as a guy that could go P5 if he continues to improve.
Kayden Forbes Kayden Forbes 5’8″ | 180 lbs | RB West Ottawa | 2025 State MI runs a lot different than some of these others. He uses his vision and patience to his advantage, as he sees where the defense is going and exploits it with a quick burst of speed and then breakaway speed. I love the way he runs between the tackles, and can get through holes that appear to be closed up. Forbes has a ton of experience in a tough conference that will definitely sharpen his game. Look for the numbers to really be there this fall, as I think he could really boost his production behind a much improved team.

After diving into his film, and watching him in person last season, I am definitely a believer in AJ Hill AJ Hill 5’10” | 175 lbs | RB Davison | 2025 State MI . He runs with aggression, and is super shifty and makes defenders miss. Hill runs He’s also a threat in the passing game, running crisp routes out of the backfield and has sticky hands, and as you would expect he racks up the yards after catch. He is absolutely an any down back in any situation, and his offers are showing it, as MAC schools are showing him a ton of attention right now.
Despite being a bit smaller than some of the other backs on this list, Vegas does a lot of his damage between the tackles. He runs hard and doesn’t dance around in the backfield, and doesn’t go down on first contact. Solo tackles on him are pretty unusual as he usually keeps his legs chopping even when it seems his momentum is stalled. I’m expecting Vegas to make a case to climb the rankings even higher, as I think his ceiling is as high as anyone right now. Everything I see is he is a hard worker, as he’s attended every camp he can this off season so far, and is putting in the work. I’m looking forward to watching him in person this fall.

Jace is a no doubt D1 talent, with a lot of tools to his game. He’s got a huge burst of speed through the hole, and is quick to improvise when things break down. I love watching his film, as he is a true threat to take it to the house on every carry. His balance and vision make him extremely versatile, and able to get more yards than the play should sometimes. He’s another guy with huge upside I see getting some higher P5 offers before it’s all said and done.
As a sophomore, Ronny Johnson Ronny Johnson 5’10” | 180 lbs | RB Dexter | 2025 State MI had really eye popping numbers for an underclassman. Maintaining a 7.7 yards per carry average, and going over 1,000 yards, while also flying around on defense also is really impressive. Ronny is a patient runner, but attacks the defense when he sees his gap open up. He’s got a good first step and quick lateral movement. I think it’s very possible to see offers roll in if he can build on what he has shown so far.

An under the radar guy that I think needs a lot more attention is Sam Rucker Sam Rucker 5’9″ | 170 lbs | RB Niles | 2025 State MI . His film is really fun to watch. He can run the old school bully ball style, or he can make defenders miss, but what I really admire is how able and willing he is in the passing game. He’s got sure hands and runs really clean routes. On the ground, Sam is really patient and will make sure to stay behind his blockers, and finishes his runs by lowering his shoulder. His football IQ is very clear to see on film, and as he continues to add the physical attributes, I think he will be making himself a solid prospect.
