Approximately 100+ prospects were in attendance at Kirkeby-Over Stadium to show off their next-level talents to the Augustana staff and other area Division III schools in attendance. This will be my usual multi-part series of camp season as we start with Part I and will dive into multiple parts by the end. Let’s dive into Part I, that have plenty of prospects I would offer right now, 2026s with plenty of upside, and much more!
Evan was one of my favorite wide receivers at the Augustana prospect camp a couple Mondays ago already. What stood out about Evan was how smooth and poised he was with his route running, as he showed off elite hands from start to finish of camp. Evan is a wide receiver prospect that you can tell has accelerated attention to detail across his craft and also his athleticism plays with high levels of instinct. With only one NSIC offer thus far, Evan certainly seems like a WR prospect that could see some fire in his recruitment in the next 2-4 months. Twitter
From the start to finish of the Augustana prospect camp, I thought Dakota Valley’s Easton Van Scoyk Easton Van Scoyk 6’3″ | 245 lbs | DL Dakota Valley | 2025 State SD was a stock riser with watching his skillsets develop quickly. I saw him develop in the defensive line group with his technique, balance and growing smoother attack angles into the backfield. He also impressed me most with his pad-level and his significant physicality I saw when he made contact in Indy drills and into 1v1s later. At 6’3 230 pounds, Easton is likely one of the biggest defensive sleepers in the state with scholarship-level talent for sure.

Alec got onto my radar from our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase this spring, and has continued to develop his skillsets nicely into summer camps. At 6’2 195 pounds, Alec showed off a ton of fluidity in the testing session especially with my eyes in front of me during the 40 yard dash as this kid showed off a great finish with plenty of athleticism that was seen. He also exceeded expectations for his size when I saw his vertical as well. I am a huge fan of this kid’s character already even as a 2026 prospect as a prospect on tape that shows off plenty of versatility position wise. I already project Alec as a probable next-level prospect even as just an incoming sophomore. Twitter

Cade is one of our top wide receivers in our 2024 class, and he certainly showed off why that is at the Augustana prospect camp. Cade showed off some excellent twitch in his athletic mobility with his route-running I saw at Augustana and I thought overall amongst all positions Cade had the most fluidity thru his testing numbers across the board. Cade is another extremely smooth route-runner from this first group however, is one on tape that shows off how much instinct he has on some higher traffic routes, which is why we have him as one of the top WRs in South Dakota’s 2024 class. Cade has a plethora of Division II and NAIA offers and should see more steam with that athletic ability that will show full force as Pierre’s likely QB1 this fall as a prospect with also excellent character for a college locker room. Alex is a Minnesota prospect that I have seen vastly improve since first scouting him well over a year ago. Even though I am used to Alex on the offensive line, I enjoyed watching his improved instinction with his lower body as he has gotten much smoother with his twitch with his footwork with his first steps to the ball. Alex also impressed in Indy drills, as he showed well-balanced footwork and solid vision. This kid will certainly grow any next-level locker room as he has some of the best character traits I have seen within the camp circuit over the last couple of years. Twitter

Evan might be another one of the youngest prospects on our first list of standouts, however he certainly passed my early eye test for this 2026 prospect out of Iowa. He impressed me with his noticeable twitch and agility and had some of the most balanced footwork I saw amongst the running back group overall. Evan is a first look prospect for me that I look forward to getting his sophomore tape, as he’s an intriguing 2026 prospect to watch blossom out of the Hawkeye State.
One of the most instinctive defensive backs I got to watch at the Augustana prospect camp was Gretna (NE) 2024 defensive back Alex Runge. Alex showed off a massive range he could cover in the Indy drills and 1v1s I got to watch out of him in Sioux Falls. Another skillset Alex popped out to me with was his vertical as he showed off. He showed off some extremely catchy footwork that creates plenty of chaos for wide receivers with his ball-tracking ability. In testing Alex, showed off much consistency with a 4.31 twice. Alex is a prospect with no offers at the moment, but in my eyes is one I would offer right now if I was a scholarship-level college football program.

Dominic was a linebacker prospect out of Eden Prairie that showed off some excellent elusive hips showing off in his change of direction. Dominic also showed off a very quick learning curve as he used the coaching he received nearly automatically and put it to good use in his reps I saw in 1v1s later in the day at Augustana. Dominic on tape is the definition of a smash-mouth linebacker, yet also has the versatility to show off his excellent physicality in pass coverage as a linebacker that can wreak havoc no matter what level of the field he is on. Dominic is another prospect in my eyes that is under recruited and is an offer-now prospect in my eyes. Twitter

Kaden was a newer prospect to my radar that played with some development skillsets with a good sized ceiling of potential in the coming years. Kaden has plenty of length he showed off in his 6’2 215 pound frame. He showed off well-built vision in the reps I caught and certainly has much potential with some position flexibility as an EDGE or linebacker at the next-level. He can grow his development with more physicality with his contact level and more instinct with his shedding ability as I loved getting his testing numbers with his 4.15 pro agilit at the Augustana prospect camp. Kaden is certainly another prospect that looks like a Saturday prospect in my eyes with some offers on. Twitter
