Even though Cade is not playing his next-level position as a senior, he certainly showed off in my eyes this season that this young man is an outstanding competitor no matter where he is on the field. He has been a huge asset with his athleticism he shows off at the quarterback position as his mobility has created plenty of sparks based on the rushing yards I have seen him put up every week. The agility he has at his disposal showed off some edgy change of direction in the reps I have watched out of Cade and the Governors this season. I already loved this kid’s character when I met him a couple summers ago and I certainly believe being the ring leader of the Governors offense at QB1 has built some more excellent character and team-building traits that the Northern State Wolves are going to love having in their locker room.

Stat Line: 381 total yards, five touchdowns

Some thought the Governors might take a step back this year with Lincoln Kienholz off to Ohio State, however I couldn’t have agreed less with that statement once I found out who their new QB1 was over the summer in Cade Kaiser Cade Kaiser 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Pierre T.F. Riggs | 2024 State SD . Cade had 381 total yards with almost identical numbers rushing (191) versus passing (190) in a 32-0 win on the road against Aberdeen Central. The Northern State commit has shown me camp after camp I have seen him at how gifted his football IQ really is in any scenario you throw at him, his versatility and strong work ethic will always stand out as Cade should be another prospect you will commonly see on our South Dakota Big Dogs of the Week this fall.

Cade is one of our top wide receivers in our 2024 class, and he certainly showed off why that is at the Augustana prospect camp. Cade showed off some excellent twitch in his athletic mobility with his route-running I saw at Augustana and I thought overall amongst all positions Cade had the most fluidity thru his testing numbers across the board. Cade is another extremely smooth route-runner from this first group however, is one on tape that shows off how much instinct he has on some higher traffic routes, which is why we have him as one of the top WRs in South Dakota’s 2024 class. Cade has a plethora of Division II and NAIA offers and should see more steam with that athletic ability that will show full force as Pierre’s likely QB1 this fall as a prospect with also excellent character for a college locker room.
