Alex is a Minnesota prospect that I have seen vastly improve since first scouting him well over a year ago. Even though I am used to Alex on the offensive line, I enjoyed watching his improved instinction with his lower body as he has gotten much smoother with his twitch with his footwork with his first steps to the ball. Alex also impressed in Indy drills, as he showed well-balanced footwork and solid vision. This kid will certainly grow any next-level locker room as he has some of the best character traits I have seen within the camp circuit over the last couple of years. Twitter

. The 6′ 273 lbs won snap after snap during the one on ones just like he did the first time I watched him. The compact IOL uses his frame to his advantage. He uses the natural leverage to his advantage. Alex also pairs the strength and stoutness to drop his anchor and stuff the DL in their tracks then run them back the way they came. Dreher has the strength needed to hold the interior of the pocket against IDL. The ’24 also uses his hands very well. They consistently landed punches right on the chest of his man, and they stayed active as to not get pushed away. Give him a look.

The 6′ 279 lbs OL was one of the more fun OL to watch in the one on one battles. Alex is powerful and stout at the point of attack. He has a good looking future at OG with those traits. His initial punch shocked DL, and from there he would sink his hips and shut down bull rushes. Alex also was able to slide laterally to mirror DL. There was one rep that really stood out. Alex quick set, the DL crossed his face, so Alex switched into run blocking mode and ran him across the whole formation and beyond. I went to watch some of his tape and that same stout, strong play stands out. Check him out below.

Another athletic lineman out of the former Twin Cities conferences, St. Paul Central’s 6’1, 275 lb. OC, OG, and defensive tackle Alex Dreher is one of a few Minutemen doing a good job of reincarnating Central’s recruiting legacy, and I was absolutely stoked to see him visit my alma mater St. Olaf earlier this month. I would be very fired up if he decided to be an Ole next recruiting cycle, but they’re far from the only program in contention as Winona State also got a junior day visit and NDSU, MSU-Moorhead, SMSU, UMD, MSU-Mankato, and Augustana have all sent recruiting graphics and information. Dreher sticks and freezes opponents at initial contact with a solid punch and good hand placement, and uses a solid base, low pad level, and good leg drive to work defenders backward and into the ground. With great balance for his size and position, Dreher is also a vicious blocker at the second level of the field and created some massive hits when asked to pull or work around the LOS. Strong, physical finisher with a good motor and a bit of a nasty streak that I love to see out of OL recruits. There is a ton to like in his game and he pulled off some of the most painful-looking and physical finishes I saw out of the 2024 OL class. Get out of his way next fall!

The 6’1, 240 lb. St. Paul Central junior was a key figurehead in the Minutemen’s best season in a decade, finishing as section runner-up in 2022. As an OG, Dreher plays with high energy and a nasty streak that I love in OL products, and his strong base + initial punch combined with his second effort brought a lot of opponents forcefully into the turf throughout the fall. Dreher can pull, combo, work to the second level, and physically dominate the man in front of him and let him know about it. This is a dude I would love to have on my team and OL but hate to go against. He’ll be able to find a college home with no problem when the time comes.
