We are back for another wave of student athletes who caught my eyes and stood out from the crowd at the UW-River Falls football camp. That was not easy to do among a field of 250 talented athletes. This group of athletes were able to do just that, though. In today’s article we dive into how they stood out. Make sure to be well aware of these prospects.
I have been a fan of Brady’s from afar. His tape instantly stood out back during our last rankings update. His two way versatility was very intriguing. During the camp I got a great close up look at the WR/TE prospect. First off, Brady has a good frame for a move TE at 6’2″ 196 lbs. Jensen took the field and proved that he can be utilized as a mismatch all over the formation. He has the size, plus ran a 4.8 40 and broad jumped 9’3″. In the one on one battles Brady showed off the ability to create separation with his size and his route running. His strong body control and fluidity allowed him to run smooth routes. He also boxed out opponents when they were able to run with him. Check out his film below.

The 6′ 279 lbs OL was one of the more fun OL to watch in the one on one battles. Alex is powerful and stout at the point of attack. He has a good looking future at OG with those traits. His initial punch shocked DL, and from there he would sink his hips and shut down bull rushes. Alex also was able to slide laterally to mirror DL. There was one rep that really stood out. Alex quick set, the DL crossed his face, so Alex switched into run blocking mode and ran him across the whole formation and beyond. I went to watch some of his tape and that same stout, strong play stands out. Check him out below.

Another WI-based standout was among the OL group. The 6’3″ 298 lbs OL out of Adams Friendship. The big man has the potential to be a breakout prospect in an exceptionally talented Class of 2024 here in WI. Jake impressed me throughout the day. His body control, fluidity, quick feet, and anchor strength all stood out to me throughout the day. We got a look at his coachability too. His hand placement struggled early in one on ones. One of the coaches pulled him aside for a bit and his performance improved. It was great to see that cherry on top because his feet were able to keep him well positioned, we just needed to see that hand placement be better. As that becomes more consistent watch out. Take a peek at his highlights below.

One of my favorite QBs to watch on Sunday was the Prior Lake product. He checked in at 6′ 203 lbs, and stepped to the forefront when we got to the QB/WR/RB/TE time. Caden’s mechanics caught my eye. He was very smooth from feet to release. Everything worked in unison. His release was one fluid motion, and the ball jumped out of his hand. His ball placement to receivers he wasn’t used to was very impressive. He drove the ball, and picked great spots, on the deep comeback. He also had good touch on his deep passes. He has clearly been putting in the work this offseason.
The WI junior checked in at 6’2 215 lbs, and looked the part of a next level TE/H-back. Tucker was a smooth athlete on the field every time I watch him. That smooth, fluidity that Tucker played with first aught my eyes while he was running routes. He was able to play with the same speed throughout the route. I was also impressed with his soft hands and hand eye coordination. He was able to make some impressive catches outside of his frame, and had to adjust to make some catches. On tape, DeForest used him in the short passing game, and as a blocker where he was an impact player at both. Keep an eye on Tucker.
An underclassman who grabbed my attention with his play was the Stanley- Boyd WR. This was Madden’s breakout onto my radar. He has a well developing frame that currently sits at 6’1″ 167 lbs and he possesses a good base of athleticism. Madden broad jumped 9’9″ ran 4.7 in the 40, and an explosive 4.32 pro agility time. During the agility portion of the camp Madden stood out again. His change of direction and burst stood out from his group. His ability to burst in every direction is on it’s way to being next level good. His film from his sophomore year shows a big play creator as well. Give it a look.
