It was a long journey and many hours inside the lab but our #TN2025 junior prospect rankings are here and it’s a deep class already that will only continue to grow as the months go on and several others develop into recruitable players.
Our first edition for the junior class debuts with our Top 100 but these rankings will expand over the next year. These 100 are the guys who we feel the most are closest to being college ready, sporting the physical abilities and upside to be looked at already by collegiate coaches.
Here is a quick breakdown, overview on our new #TN2025 Top 100 ….
The Top Ten
It was a battle to see who the #1 prospect would be for our junior class between Brentwood Academy quarterback George MacIntyre George MacIntyre 6'5" | 190 lbs | QB Brentwood Academy | 2025 State TN and Ensworth D-lineman Ethan Utley Ethan Utley 6'4" | 265 lbs | DL Ensworth | 2025 State TN but after close evaluations, that number one spot went to MacIntyre. The 6 ‘5 passer simply has the look of not only a future starter on the Power Five level but someone with the physical makeup and talent to make it in the NFL one day. Utley will be right there with him and continue battling for the top overall ranked prospect as the Tigers junior is a load to handle up front and someone with NFL upside as well.
Placing 3rd in the rankings, Lipscomb Acad. (OG) Chauncey Gooden Chauncey Gooden 6'4" | 315 lbs | OL Lipscomb Academy | 2025 State TN has already become a national recruit as definitely one of the top O-line prospects in the South but possibly the entire country as well. Rounding out the top five, Dyersburg D-Tackle Kalen Edwards Kalen Edwards 6'4" | 315 lbs | DL Dyersburg | 2025 State TN comes in ranked 4th with Siegel defensive back Tarrion Grant Tarrion Grant 6'3" | 185 lbs | DB Siegel | 2025 State TN right behind him ranked 5th.
Edwards is a dude! College coaches have started taking notice of this West Tennessee talent but he still sits a tad under the radar but only for a little while longer. Grant has really started to come into his own, filling out his body further while increasing his skill set. The Stars junior defender has big time potential moving forward as someone that could play a variety of roles, including cover corner.
Germantown rising junior Jamarion Morrow Jamarion Morrow 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Germantown | 2025 State TN comes in ranked 6th as the current #1 placed athlete inside our rankings and he might eventually move to running back and be the top rated player at that position as well. Placing 7th, Lipscomb Acad. defensive back C.J. Jimcoily C.J. Jimcoily 6'1" | 190 lbs | DB Lipscomb Acad. | 2025 State TN is a national recruit, holding more than 20 offers at the moment due to his athleticism, size and upside. The top ranked tight end in Cameron Sparks Cameron Sparks 6'4" | 210 lbs | TE Baylor | 2025 State TN ranks 8th and he is a talent that could see his ranking go up in our next update with continued development.
Right behind Sparks in the tight end and Top 100 rankings is Alcoa tight end Eli Owens Eli Owens 6'3" | 230 lbs | TE Alcoa | 2025 State TN . An outstanding pass catcher with strong hands, Owens is a mismatch problem for the opposition that has schools like Alabama hot on his trail. Collierville receiver Joakim Dodson Joakim Dodson 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Baylor | 2025 State TN rounds out the Top 10, coming in ranked 10th and he is another guy I could see rise up the rankings in our next update because I feel this West Tennessee talent is still developing and growing with his best football days ahead of him.
Top Ranked Position: The O-line
Everything within our rankings is fluid, meaning things will change over time and within our next update but as of now, the offensive line leads the way, placing 15 prospects inside our new #TN2025 Top 100. Gooden is the top guy, coming in at 3rd but several others behind him are quite talented as well. Baylor junior Jimmy Bryson Jimmy Bryson 6'4" | 285 lbs | OL Baylor | 2025 State TN (15th) and Jon Adair Jon Adair 6'5" | 275 lbs | OL Lipscomb Acad. | 2025 State TN from Lipscomb Academy are the next two in line behind Gooden and two guys who will be playing Power Five football in the very near future.
Oakland (TN) junior Kaden Mowl Kaden Mowl 6'7" | 310 lbs | OL Oakland | 2025 State TN comes in ranked 31st overall and 4th within the O-line but he is still a little bit of unknown as he doesn’t have a lot of experience behind him but has tremendous size and potential for the college game. Ranking 43rd overall, Sevier Co. junior Otto Van Rensburg has low tread on his tires as well with much to learn but the upside is large and college coaches are taking notice. Right behind him ranked 44th, Clinton offensive lineman LeState Williams LeState Williams 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Clinton | 2025 GA might be the most athletic, explosive guy at his position in the #TN2025 class.
The last O-lineman ranked inside the Top 50 is MUS junior Michael Ray, Jr Michael Ray, Jr 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL MUS | 2025 State TN . Many may not know much about this Memphis area lineman just yet but trust me he is legit. He has outstanding film and the physical makeup to excel in the college game.
Rounding out the Top 100 with offensive lineman concludes like this: #54 – Ta’Khyian Whitset Ta’Khyian Whitset 6'5" | 265 lbs | OL Antioch | 2025 State TN – Antioch, #61 – Kyle Larkin Kyle Larkin 6'6" | 280 lbs | OL Ravenwood | 2025 State TN – Ravenwood, #63 – Noah Hacker Noah Hacker 6'7" | 270 lbs | OL Lipscomb Acad. | 2025 State TN – Lipscomb Acad., #74 – Kasen Langley Kasen Langley 6'4" | 280 lbs | OL Overton | 2025 State TN – Overton, #75 – Brady Smith Brady Smith 6'2" | 260 lbs | OL CPA | 2025 State TN – CPA, #84 – Judd Taylor Judd Taylor 6'4" | 275 lbs | OL Carter | 2025 State TN – Carter, #86 Kalvin Meadows Kalvin Meadows 6'5" | 280 lbs | OL Chester Co. | 2025 State TN – Chester Co. and Anderson Co. junior center/guard Ty Murphy Ty Murphy 6'3" | 275 lbs | OL Anderson Co. | 2025 State TN finishing things out, coming in ranked 94th overall.
Strong Junior Running Back Class
The running back position has been undervalued for many years now but that narrative could be changing. The crop we have for the #TN2025 may be the deepest, most talented group we have had in sometime with multiple guys destined for the Power Five level while sporting the upside to possibly take their games further than that.
Throughout the next year, it will be a battle to see who the top back in this class will be as we have Red Bank junior Daune Morris Daune Morris 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Oakland | 2025 State TN as the current top ranked running back (11th overall) but Tamari Hill Tamari Hill 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Brentwood Academy | 2025 State TN from Oakland is right on his heels, placing 12th overall. Both of these backs are athletic, explosive guys that have the speed to find the endzone very quickly.
We have to move down to 34th overall to find the next guy with MBA junior Brooklen Davis Brooklen Davis 5'10" | 190 lbs | RB MBA | 2025 State TN , who is a big back with great burst and balance but the depth begins to show up within the Top 100 after that. West Tennessee native Rhyan Brown Rhyan Brown 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Melrose | 2025 State TN from Melrose places next at 42nd and he is a talent with enough juice in his legs to rise up big time in our next updated rankings.
Lipscomb Academy has a two headed monster at running back for the next two years in Micah Burton Micah Burton 5'9" | 200 lbs | RB Lipscomb Academy | 2025 State TN (48th overall) and big back Andrew Patterson, Jr Andrew Patterson, Jr 6'0" | 190 lbs | RB Lipscomb Acad. | 2025 State TN (52nd overall) that help push the Mustangs back into championship contention. Right behind Patterson, Jr at 53rd overall is Cleveland speedster Isaiah Davis Isaiah Davis 5'11" | 175 lbs | ATH Cleveland | 2025 State TN . A track star with outstanding straight line speed, Davis has a chance to breakout big time this Fall under a new wide open offensive scheme.
Behind the top seven sits a group of backs that have size or talent to reach the next level but still have some development to go before they become bonafide recruits. Oakland junior Aivery Haynesworth Aivery Haynesworth 6'3" | 240 lbs | DL Oakland | 2025 State TN (73rd overall) is a big dude who moves well and should see an increase of carries this coming Fall. Price Davis Price Davis 6'0" | 195 lbs | RB Maryville | 2025 State TN (83rd overall) from Maryville and Tegan Avera Tegan Avera 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Sevier Co. | 2025 State TN (90th overall) from Gatlinburg-Pittman are two of the best from the East Tennessee region. Haywood junior Camarion Miller Camarion Miller 5'8" | 170 lbs | RB Haywood | 2025 State TN (92nd overall) and Mt. Juliet stud back Jonmikael Crudup Jonmikael Crudup 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Mt. Juliet | 2025 State TN (99th overall) rounds out the running back group inside our new rankings.
Overall, this looks like a talented crop of backs that are all built to make it into the college game. There are several others at this position that are still under development that should crack this list during our next update as well.
Top Tier Def. Back Class For #TN2025
It took a couple of years for the defensive backs in this state to show up but it looks like the secondary has now become a strength as both the #TN2024 and #TN2025 classes are deep with talent and future college players on all levels. The upcoming junior class looks like it could be better than its predecessor as it may be more top heavy compared to the 2024 class as well as being much deeper.
The top five ranked defensive backs are all ultra talented and destined for Power Five football and maybe beyond. Grant and Jimcoily place inside the Top 10 but just outside that and behind the top two DB’s sits Rockvale safety Jaylan Morgan Jaylan Morgan 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Rockvale | 2025 State TN . Ranked 14th overall, the 6’0 rangy defender has seen his stock soar over the past few months, establishing himself as the top safety prospect in the #TN2025 class.
Oakland rising junior Bronson Crisp Bronson Crisp 6'3" | 175 lbs | DB Oakland | 2025 State TN (22nd overall) is a guy people need to start learning about as he sports great physical traits and major upside that I feel will be on full display this fall during his breakout season. Coming out of Rutherford Co. as well, Riverdale safety Dominic Taylor Dominic Taylor 6'1" | 190 lbs | DB Riverdale | 2025 State TN (23rd overall) screams big time potential as a rangy, ball hawking defender that can play equally as well against the pass and the run.
Brentwood Acad. defensive back Kolbe Harmon Kolbe Harmon 5'10" | 180 lbs | DB Brentwood Academy | 2025 State TN (37th overall) places next inside our rankings at 37th overall. The Eagles junior defender shows a skill set that could translate well at cornerback but he is versatile, so Harmon could handle nickelback or safety as well. Pure safety Martels Carter Jr Martels Carter Jr 6'0" | 185 lbs | ATH Paducah Tilghman | 2025 State KY (40th overall) is a well built young man that plays strong running downhill against the run. Right behind ranked 41st, St. Georges athletic defender Chase Sutton Chase Sutton 6'0" | 165 lbs | DB Bartlett | 2025 State TN places next and with his natural athletic abilities, I could see this West Tennessee product rise in our next updated rankings.
Just inside the Top 50 at 47th overall, Tyler Williams Tyler Williams 6'3" | 190 lbs | ATH Munford | 2025 State TN out of Munford is a big dude who covers a lot of ground. He is rangy and aggressive, fitting the strong safety role perfectly.
The rest of the defensive backs inside the Top 100 go like this: #56 – Vanzale Hinton Vanzale Hinton 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB East Hamilton | 2025 KY – East Hamilton, #79 – Jayun Smith Jayun Smith 6'2" | 175 lbs | DB Brainerd | 2025 State TN – Brainerd, #80 Bennett McDougal Bennett McDougal 6'2" | 190 lbs | DB Whitwell | 2025 State TN – Whitwell, #88 Mason Bryant Mason Bryant 5'8" | 175 lbs | DB Father Ryan | 2025 State TN – Father Ryan and DeCoriyeon Brown DeCoriyeon Brown 6'3" | 175 lbs | DB Austin East | 2025 State TN from Austin-East coming in ranked 96th overall.
