Starting at center as a sophomore on the 2022 Class 4A State Championship team, Murphy already has a leg up on the competition when it comes to major accolades but now he must step up this Fall as a somewhat veteran that takes his game to another level and becomes an official college prospect. The Mavericks junior big man is a technician in the middle who shows clean snaps and the ability to get out of his stance quickly and wall up the opposition. Murphy shows good athleticism on film as well as the ability to get out and pull, so that tells me he could develop guard if needed. His football smarts, experience and versatility should appeal to collegiate coaches as they look for a dependable O-lineman that can become a future team captain.

Ty Murphy Ty Murphy 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Anderson Co. | 2025 State TN is a 6’3″ 260 pounds interior OL out of Anderson County High School. He plays with a strong lower base with solid initial quickness off the line of scrimmage. Murphy plays with a low center of gravity and good balance overall in his base. In pass protection, he is technically sound, staying square with good body lean and overall good hand usage. In the running game, he combines good footwork, hand placement, and flips his hips to hook defenders and create lanes. He displays good leverage and takes good angles to the 2nd level and will torque defenders out the club.
