I was additionally impressed with Jaylan Morgan Jaylan Morgan 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Rockvale | 2025 State TN , a defensive back at Rockvale High School. Morgan caught my attention with his explosiveness at wide receiver in Rockvale’s season opener, showcasing his ability to shake the defense down the stretch to get wide open for the deep pass. Morgan also hauled in a clutch touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter, elevating off the ground to attack the ball.

Another prospect to make a difference was Jaylan Morgan Jaylan Morgan 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Rockvale | 2025 State TN , a defensive back at Rockvale High School. In addition to hauling in an impressive deep pass, Morgan proved himself as a dangerous offensive weapon late in the contest, catching two touchdown passes to tie the game up. Morgan’s ability to quickly get down field and stay in front of the pass made a huge difference for the Rockets late in the contest.

In the first place spot on my list is Jaylan Morgan Jaylan Morgan 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Rockvale | 2025 State TN , a defensive back at Rockvale High School. In addition to great breakaway speed, Morgan impresses me with his ability to elevate off the ground to attack the ball in the air. I also like how Morgan can utilize his wingspan to wrap up receivers on the other side of the ball, proving his ability to shut down the deep pass.

Claiming the number three spot on my list of standouts is Jaylan Morgan Jaylan Morgan 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Rockvale | 2025 State TN , a defensive back at Rockvale High School. On top of great execution off the snap, Morgan stands out with his electric speed and versatility down the stretch. I also like how Morgan can juke out the opposition with his footwork and quickly elevate off the ground to attack the ball in the air.

Athletic, fast and versatile are the traits that immediately stand out about this Murfreesboro product, who I feel is just coming into his own with his best football days ahead of him. Ranked 2nd among the defensive backs, Morgan is a natural athlete that provides a lot of value to the secondary as someone that could handle every position, including potentially cover corner. He sports an agile lower base with quick feet and speed that could allow him to play cornerback in college. Morgan is such a good athlete that he could play some receiver if needed as well as become an excellent gunner or return man on special teams. I really like the upside with Morgan as he could be an All-Conference performer in college and a potential NFL ball player one day.

Strengths: Morgan is one of the more athletic guys we have in the secondary from our #TN2025 class and he is still far from reaching his maximum capabilities. A multi talented prospect that could develop on offense at receiver, Morgan took his game to another level this past season where he displayed outstanding coverage abilities along with the quickness and speed to keep up with just anybody he faced off with. The Rockets senior defender is a natural athlete that moves very well with an agile lower body and quick feet. He is also quite instinctive with a nose for the ball. Morgan does a good job of staying on path with his opponent and either making a break up on the ball or picking it off. His athleticism and speed plays all over the secondary but he could have a shot at playing cover corner on the college level. Morgan could also provide value on special teams as a gunner or return man. Development: Continued work in the weight room is the biggest area of need for Morgan this off-season and moving forward. He is a little slight in his frame but definitely sports the body to take on the needed weight for the kind of competition he will see on the biggest stage of college football. Field work is also something that needs to continue, especially if Morgan receives a chance to play cover corner in college. Overview: This is the best college prospect to ever come out of the Rockvale program in their short existence. Morgan is a dynamic prospect with some of the best athleticism from our rising senior class along with tremendous upside for cornerback, which is probably why he holds more than 15 Power Four offers at this point in his recruitment. There is a reason why Morgan is ranked high by PRZTN and I think we still haven’t seen his best high school season yet. This is a Mr. Football sleeper next Fall due to his natural playmaking abilities that should show up on both sides of the ball. Morgan is an exciting ball player that I can see progressing into a Top 300 national recruit at some point this year and one of the more sought after recruits from our #TN2025 class.
