Top Offensive Linemen from the PSR Showcase
For as large of a human being he is, Steele moved extremely well for his size. The St. Joe’s Philly product certainly passed the eye test, but he continued to further open eyes based on the agility he demonstrated. During one-on-ones Steele moved laterally very well, staying in front of defenders and taking power steps to regain ground when they went toward the inside. His big, burly chest stonewalled power rush moves from ever gaining any traction as well.
Murphy looked like a prospect who could play any position, on either side of the ball, in the trenches. One of the tallest linemen in attendance, Murphy was also one of the leanest. This was to his benefit, however, as he showed that he possesses great ability to bend. Routinely I noticed that Murphy was the low man, which caused him to win the majority of his matchups during the competition phase of the event.

Having just completed his freshman year, the sky is the limit for Sriram. He possesses a moldable body and sturdy frame that could develop nicely through a four year career. Sriram also appears to have the attitude and desire to get better and continually improve. He won some matchups and he also lost some, but in between each and every rep he held on to the feedback he received from the coaches, had a positive attitude, and applied what he was told to his next at-bat. An approach and demeanor like that are sure to equate to big improvement as the years go on from the young Sriram.

For some reason I get a thrill out of watching a prospect at a camp compete that I remember evaluating and scouting their film – Sternlieb gave me that thrill during the PSR Big Showcase. It was more of the same from what I previously scouted, and certainly some improvement as well. My first though was that Sternlieb was destined to become a lineman. He had great form in every spin he took. His classmates at St. Thomas Aquinas ought to hide their wallets, for Sternlieb comes off of as a bully looking to snatch their milk money. He was extremely physical in everything he did, setting a tone for the sub-2024 line group. Lastly, Sternlieb’s feet seemed to have improved from what I recall on his film. He moved more quickly in tight spaces and thus limited opportunities for him to get beat.

Xheraj has the size to compete with the best of them, but his feet are what separated him from the the pack. Consistent, quick feet gave Xheraj a punchers chance to compete with each and every prospect in attendance. He was able to get into better position from the onset and also recover quickly if-and-when he might have gotten beat.
