Throughout the week, we’re diving deep into the rankings with prospect breakdowns. We’re discussing why these players are already on our radar and already on the radar for the next level. Keep it locked in throughout the week as we break down more 2025 prospects. And check back each Monday this month for a new ranking update! Next week, we’ll be updating the 2024 class.
In this breakdown, we’re putting a spotlight on five prospects that made the biggest jumps in the recent ranking update. All five of these prospects jumped up at least 30 spots in the recent ranking update. Be sure to check back throughout the week for more positional and prospect breakdowns and then check back in next week for our final ranking update!
(Jumped Up 47 Spots) rnKansas quarterback Seneca Steele Seneca Steele 6’4″ | 195 lbs | QB Kansas | 2025 State OK was a 2025 prospect that we got a chance to see in person this spring during our spring camp tour. We watched Steele on film and were impressed with his ability to really get the ball down the field but seeing him in person is a big reason why he ended up being the biggest stock riser in this last update. He jumped up into the Top 50 at #43 overall because in person, Steele definitely looks the part as he has good size and he’s a pretty solid athlete. As a lefty, Steele’s delivery can vary from time to time but he has an absolute cannon of an arm and he was able to put the ball into some very tight windows when we got a chance to see him in Verdigris. The state’s 2025 QB class is incredibly special and Steele is creeping up that position group.
(Jumped Up 35 Spots) rnSapulpa defensive lineman Isaac Shelton Isaac Shelton 6’1″ | 235 lbs | DL Sapulpa | 2025 State OK was another prospect that we were able to get a better evaluation on after watching him in person. Shelton was one of Sapulpa’s many standouts during the Claremore team camp back in late May and that, combined with what we already knew about the Sapulpa standout was good enough for us to bump him up 35 spots into the Top 50 at #48 overall. Shelton is also now a Top 5 prospect at his position and he was really impressive with his ability to come off the edge and cause problems for opposing offensive linemen. And this was a camp where some of the teams Sapulpa scrimmaged had strong offensive lines and Shelton answered the call every single time. We think he could blow up in a big way this fall.
Highlights
(Jumped Up 34 Spots) rnVictory Christian junior Jayelyn Robinson Jayelyn Robinson 6’1″ | 260 lbs | OL Victory Christian | 2025 State OK is the only offensive lineman on this breakdown as he vaulted up 34 spots to #60 overall and is now the #6 offensive lineman in the state’s 2025 class. Robinson is an interior offensive lineman that we really like based on what he’s been able to do in his first two seasons. But we’re very intrigued and looking forward to seeing him this fall as the Conquerors have to replace a lot of experience on the offensive line and now all of a sudden, Robinson is going to be the veteran of the group and somebody that the others look up to. It will be interesting to see how he takes on a leadership role up front and continues to show why he’s one of the more intriguing interior offensive linemen in the state’s junior class.
(Jumped Up 33 Spots) rnLawton Eisenhower running back Rashaud Hurt Rashaud Hurt 6’1″ | RB Lawton Eisenhower | 2025 State OK is the top overall prospect in this particular breakdown as he jumped up 33 spots and is now the #17 overall prospect and the #3 rated running back in the class. Hurt is yet another prospect that we got to see in person this spring and because of that in-person evaluation, we could make a good judgement that Hurt belonged in the conversation with some of the other elite playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. Hurt is an incredibly physical runner and has the ability to make just about any run end with points for Lawton Eisenhower. Every time he touched the ball at the Choctaw camp, it took an army to bring him down. His recruitment has really taken off in the last month and it’s not slowing down anytime soon.
(Jumped Up 32 Spots) rnThere are a few speedy wide receivers in the state’s 2025 class but Broken Arrow’s Kayleb Barnett Kayleb Barnett 5’10” | WR Broken Arrow | 2025 State OK is one that we have been very impressed with after the offseason he’s had. First off, you can definitely make the argument that Barnett is going to be Broken Arrow’s top offensive playmaker this fall. So it just feels like he’s primed to have a massive junior season for the Tigers. Then you look at his production already, combined with this offseason and Barnett is a prospect that we’re definitely going to keep an eye on this fall. Speed is certainly the name of the game for Barnett and we’re looking forward to seeing how the Tigers utilize him in every phase of the offense and he also has the ability to return kicks with his speed in the open field.
