There were players putting up lightning quick times in the 40 yard dash. Just when my jaw dropped at a time that a player finished with, another player would come along and top that one. Out of all of the prospects that stood out, I am going to talk about the quickest 40 yard dash times by position for the offensive players. I am also going to include other notable standouts that might not have been the quickest at the position. Lets find out who made the list.
Dawson Matthews Dawson Matthews 6’5″ | 260 lbs | OL Ada | 2026 State OK had the best all-around numbers out of all of the offensive linemen in the 40 yard dash. He recorded the second and third quickest times of anybody at the position. Tied for the tallest player at his position that took part in the event, seeing a freshman put up those kind of numbers is frightening. He will be worth keeping an eye on over the next three years, as he has the potential to greatly impact Ada football moving forwards. If he can put on some more weight, as he weighed in at 229.8 pounds, he will be scary moving forwards for the opposing defensive linemen.
Highlights
Donovan Peck Donovan Peck 6’0″ Stigler | 2025 OK is the smallest of all of the offensive linemen, but he is also the quickest. He had a quicker time in the 40 yard dash than any of the other offensive linemen, with numbers of 5.19 in his first attempt and 4.99 in his second attempt. That 4.99 was the quickest time, but the 5.19 was a lot slower than some of the other linemen. It was an impressive showing for him, as this speed can be beneficial if he was to pull off of the edge.
Gabe Winfield Gabe Winfield 6’0″ | 180 lbs | ATH Colcord | 2024 State OK is a 5’11 quarterback that had recorded the same time on both of his 40 yard dash attempts. His attempts were the third and fourth highest out of all quarterbacks, being 4.97. The reason that I chose him compared to the other players that had a quicker time is because he was the most consistent. Zyron Campbell recorded a 4.91 on his second attempt and Axel Erne recorded a 4.81 on his first attempt. Both of those guys had way above a 5.00 time on their other attempts. Winfield was by far the most consistent and that is why he is on this list. He looked solid on some of his other drills, as well.

Titan Hix Titan Hix 6’3″ | 210 lbs | QB Locust Grove | 2026 State OK lit up the event, coming away with the quarterback MVP award and recording the second most consistent times in the 40 yard dash. He finished his two attempts with 4.99 and 4.98. He was one of two quarterbacks to finish both attempts under 5.00 seconds. It was an impressive event for him, but especially in this event.
Highlights
Felix Teal Felix Teal 5’9″ | 180 lbs | RB Laverne | 2025 State OK was remarkable during the event, coming away with the MVP for all running backs. He finished with the second best 40 yard dash times for the day. His times were 4.5 and 4.53, making him arguably the quickest offensive player. He tested phenomenally and played exceptionally well throughout the whole event, as he showed why he is the #4 ranked running back in the state at his position. It was impressive to watch him perform.
Highlights
PJ Wallace PJ Wallace 6’1″ | RB Muskogee | 2025 State OK was the second quickest running back and one of the quickest players in the whole combine. He showed why he is the #14 ranked player and #3 ranked running back in Oklahoma for the class of 2025. He was a blur to watch, finishing with 4.56 and 4.63 as his times. The 6’1 running back makes Bartlesville a scary team on the ground for the next couple of years. He lit up other areas of the combine, making him someone that is must-watch as more articles come out.
Highlights
Garrett Vaughn Garrett Vaughn 5’8″ | 165 lbs | WR Bixby | 2024 State OK was by far the most impressive wide receiver in this drill, which was nothing new as he lit up the whole event. He came away with the wide receiver MVP, setting the path to it ablaze. His two times were by far the quickest times for his position. He recorded 4.59 and 4.56, with the next closest times for a receiver being 4.72. That is a big difference for a 40 yard dash. That is good speed for a receiver. To put it in perspective, there would have been 10 players in the 2023 NFL Draft Combine that was slower than him (according to NFL.com). That is an impressive day for him.
Cutter Greene Cutter Greene 6’0″ | 190 lbs | WR Perkins-Tryon | 2024 State OK is someone that I do not have an idea what position to list him at, with him being labeled an athlete, but him set the 40 yard dash on fire. His first attempt was 4.53, with his second attempt improving on that, being 4.44. It was impressive to watch him throughout the whole event, as he did exceptionally well. He showed a lot of skills throughout the event, showing why he is the #50 ranked player in the 2024 class for Oklahoma and the #9 ranked player at his position.
