Continue ReadingNo prospect on this list is further away from cracking the top 100 than Pope John Paul’s Braden Reed Braden Reed 5’10” | 160 lbs | WR Pope John Paul II | 2025 State PA . That’s not to say Reed isn’t capable of making that leap. I’d be remiss to not mention how fond I am of many at the program. With the addition of Kevin Heywood Kevin Heywood 6’7″ | 300 lbs | OL Pope John Paul II | 2024 State PA , you can imagine how excited scouts are to see the new offense flourish. Reed should be helped. Reed almost eclipsed 1,000 total yards from scrimmage this past Fall. He will have to boost his production substantially. Reed gets an FCS grade out of me currently, nearly a quarter of FCS prospects rank inside the top 100 after their senior campaigns. Reed is certainly capable.
Rafael Terrero Rafael Terrero 6’4″ | 205 lbs | ATH Emmaus | 2025 State PA is 49 spots outside of cracking the top 100. A 6’4, physical wideout out of Emmaus that should see an uptick in production with Dylan Darville Dylan Darville 6’1″ | 180 lbs | WR Emmaus | 2023 State PA moving on to the next level. I’d imagine Josiah Williams Josiah Williams 6’2″ | 210 lbs | ATH Emmaus | 2024 State PA will retake the reigns at quarterback, with Fotta also moving on. Terrero should stand as the lead wideout, at least from a size perspective. Guzzo and Jones will garner their fair share of looks, yet I imagine Terrero could be a name we are all familiar with after his junior campaign. Might I mention that Terrero could see action at several different alignments/positions. Watch for Terrero to produce at TE or even Safety.
Admittedly, I see the potential in nearly every prospect on the Pittsburgh Central Catholic roster. That goes for the numerous linemen prospects being developed behind the scenes. Roman Kane Roman Kane 6’1″ | 270 lbs | OL Pittsburgh Central Catholic | 2025 State PA fits into that conversation. He currently sits 40 spots away from a top 100 ranking. Those 40 spots can be made up easily, especially when you boast the type of tape this young man does. A deciding factor could be how his body and frame develop. Can he reach 6’3, 275+ pounds? What height/weight threshold will Kane surpass? What kind of reps could he receive and where? Excited to find out the answers to these questions.
Jack Dufalla Jack Dufalla 6’3″ | 200 lbs | LB Trinity Area | 2025 State PA is a name many outside of the Washington, PA area might be unfamiliar with. I could see this young man dominating his conference for years to come. A 37-spot jump is likely, especially considering his initial rank was a modest grade because of it being a debut. A lot to like out of the sophomore linebacker. 6’3, a good-looking 200-pound frame, Dufalla’s the type of prospect FCS schools covet. We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, Dufalla is still going to have to show an increase in production. He will still have to test well at camps to garner the attention I think he will deserve down the line.
Penn State’s recruiting staff has already stamped that this young man should already place inside the top 100. He was close to that notion before Penn State offered the Laurel Highlands ATH. I usually am a wait-and-see scout, yet the nod from the BIG10 powerhouse is enough of a reason for us to move this kid into the top 75 at the very least. Excited to see what his junior tape will provide. I’m enamored with Black’s abilities at corner. Most know that I value exceptional DB play higher than most other positions.
Much like Antwan Black Antwan Black 6’1″ | 170 lbs | ATH Laurel Highlands | 2025 State PA , I love McFadden’s abilities at DB, even though he’s a phenomenal two-way prospect. Many will point to McFadden’s size and question whether he’s top 100 worthy in the future. We know I have no problem ranking productive prospects high even if they don’t meet some collegiate thresholds. McFadden boasts the athleticism to be one of the better two-way players in his class. A top-20 positional ranking could easily become a top-10 spot. We will need to see him produce, however. Undeniable production is necessary for a 5’10 prospect out of SCH. I think he has the talent to make it happen.
