There are 11 opportunities to compete against some of these guys and other top 2027 & 2028 prospects this spring at our PRZ Next Rising Prospect camps. Do yourself a favor and get signed up for one. The talent that comes out never disappoints. Here are the dates/locations.
-Really good-looking Wide Receiver prospect coming out Missouri, already listed (unverified) at 6-foot-1 and 150-pounds in the eighth grade. Already has the build coaches want to see Tall, long, wiry with requisite muscle mass
-Advanced knowledge and usage of body control and positioning. Understands how to fight for the ball and put himself in position to at least have a shot to make a play on most passes chucked his way
-After he wraps up his time at Moreland Ridge Middle School, he’s off to play for Blue Springs South High School in the fall. Lindsay could be a big part of the puzzle for the Jaguars, as they look to build off a 7-4 record this past year. It was the program’s first winning season since 2015, when they won a state title.
-A multi-sport athlete with a lot of potential coming out of Nebraska in this 2027 class. Also wrestles and placed third at the Nebraska USA Wrestling State Tournament
-Is listed (unverified) at 6-foot-2 and 185-pounds with a great frame. He’s a long, muscular kid that is already benching 225 pounds and squatting north of 300
-Bends and gets around the edge extremely well for an eighth-grade prospect with his build. Very explosive once he gets hip to hip with the opposing Offensive Tackle, flashing impressive speed into the backfield
-Keeping it in Nebraska & also staying with the wrestlers, Ryan Boehle Ryan Boehle 6’2″ | 190 lbs | LB Grand Island | 2027 NE (pronounced Bailey) is a Cornhusker to know about in both sports. Standing at (unverified) 6-foot and 200 pounds, all he did this past wrestling season was go 40-4 with an astounding 36 pins
-Football film of him is non-existent from what I’ve gathered. With that said, if you look at any of my writeups, I always talk about how wrestling translates directly to football–specifically for Offensive Linemen, interior Defensive Linemen and Linebackers. His wrestling clips are wild. He’s quick, explosive and strong at the point of attack–all terms used to describe top Linebackers
-Will be off to Grand Island High School in the fall, where he’ll join a program where the Islanders have gone 39-17 over the last five seasons and finished ranked No.22 in the 2022 season
Highlights
-Taking it up to Pacific Northwest, there’s a lot to be excited about in regards to 2027 Running Back/Linebacker Deckard Hale Deckard Hale 6’0″ | 200 lbs | LB Grant | 2027 State OR out of Portland, Oregon. He legitimately plays a sideline-to-sideline style of Linebacker
-Listed at (unverified) 6-foot and 185-pounds, he is one of the most impressive blitzing Linebackers I’ve seen in this class. From his anticipation, to his timing, to his speed–he’s a tough assignment for Guard’s and Center’s that are slow off the snap
-He’ll be off to Grant High School in the fall and will join a team that finished 6-4 this past season and made the playoffs. The Pacers ripped off six wins in a row during the regular season, before running into the buzzsaw that was eventual State Champion West Linn in the first round of the playoffs. Grant is a big program, but I absolutely think he will earn some varsity time if he keeps on this trajectory
-The rich get richer at St. Frances Academy in terms of football talent with Buchanan III inking his name to play for the Panthers, who finished 9-1 this past season. Their lone loss came to IMG Academy in their final game of the season
-Buchanan III is a tall, long Defensive End prospect at 6-foot-4 and 215-pounds. The scary athlete actually played Wide Receiver for most of his pre-high school career before starting the transition to an edge rusher
-The St. Frances to Boston College pipeline is running hot and it doesn’t just mean for current high school athletes. Buchanan III picked up his first offer from the Eagles this past December as an eighth-grader
-Learning about, and most importantly, seeing film on pre-high school prospects from Hawaii is still something I struggle with almost 14 years into this. So when I find a kid like Menor, I lock in right away
-Possesses game-changing quickness on the outside as a Wide Receiver with very dependable hands on the outside and can create after the catch with great vision
-Is as-talented, or better, in the defensive secondary at this point. He’s listed at just 5-foot-9 and 130 pounds (unverified) but I wouldn’t hesitate to put him at Safety or Corner. Has a nose for the football and uses that same vision to pick up yards after interceptions as well
-Adams is an absolute mountain of a human being. Forget the fact that he’s only in the eighth grade right now, as he stands 6-foot-5 and 285-pounds. Think former Georgia Defensive Lineman and current Philadelphia Eagle – Jordan Davis. That’s the type of size and size differential when compared to others in this class that we’re talking about
-Was a two-way stand out for North Clayton Middle School this past season, playing Left Tackle and Defensive Tackle. He helped the Tigers win its second Clayton County Championship, in addition to the B2C Middle School Georgia State Championship
-While I made the comparison to Defensive Lineman Jordan Davis above, I think Adams as a future Offensive Lineman. He has an unreal frame with long limbs and carries his 285 pounds very well. He’s a prospect I’d offer right now if I were a college program. If you’re not first, you’re last. Right?
-Without question of the most fundamentally sound Cornerback’s I’ve seen in the 2027 class to date. I’m a firm believer in there always being things to improve on–because there always are. However, I’m struggling to find anything to pick apart in Rainer’s game
-Another prospect where bloodlines and genetics are alive and well. Khalid is the son of former UVA and NFL Linebacker Wali Rainer. He’s also the younger brother of 2023 Linebacker Elijah Rainer Elijah Rainer 6’1″ | 220 lbs | LB Trinity Episcopal | 2023 State VA , a William and Mary commit, who finished ranked the No.60 prospect and No.8 Linebacker in our 2023 Virginia rankings. In addition to being the younger brother of Zahir Rainer Zahir Rainer 5’10” | 185 lbs | ATH Trinity Episcopal | 2024 State VA , the No.13 overall prospect and No.3 Athlete in our 2024 Virginia rankings
-Like Kelsey Adams Kelsey Adams 6’5″ | 285 lbs | OL North Clayton | 2027 GA of Georgia above, Rainer is a kid I would have no problem pulling the trigger on right now with an offer, if I were a college football coach. I joking said to Rainer that there’s crazy talent in the Rainer household and he replied, “{crazy talent} is THE standard here.”
