I was able to talk to several players about their observations and goals for the upcoming season. Let’s hear from them here:
LB Kendric Davis Kendric Davis 6'2" | 210 lbs | LB Palisades | 2025 NC – Kendric is a Division 1 prospect with offers from several schools, including Army, James Madison, Temple, and Marshall. Kendric looked good and disciplined in coverage and his zone drops to hook/curl areas and the middle of the field. 2025 prospect.
RB Justin Faulkes – Justin is a major under-the-radar player per his head coach, Jonathan Simmons. Faulkes will pair in the backfield with Fedayeen Turner Fedayeen Turner 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Palisades | 2025 NC to form a dynamic and fast combination of running backs that can put major pressure on the defense. 2025 prospect.
ATH Fedayeen Turner Fedayeen Turner 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Palisades | 2025 NC – Fedayeen is the returning Special Teams Player Of The Year for his conference. Fedayeen is an athletic running back with excellent speed and agility who can also play some wide receiver in specific formations. Fedayeen currently is another player under the radar from a recruiting perspective but could be a steal for the right school. 2025 prospect.
TE Hudson Nolden Hudson Nolden 6'2" | 205 lbs | TE Palisades | 2027 State NC – A 2027 prospect at 6’3 and 210 pounds, Hudson looked very fluid running routes and caught the football well during the scheme installation portion of practice that I observed. Hudson will be a key piece of the Pumas offensive attack and has a bright upside from a recruiting perspective.
DL William Vernon – Head Coach Jonathan Simmons said William has had a great offseason – he has bench pressing over 300 pounds and squatting over 500 pounds regularly in the weight room. Playing defensive tackle, William will have an important job of keeping offensive linemen off of a talented Palisades linebacking core. 2025 prospect.
DB Corey Pettigrew – Corey is making a position change to safety, and his play will be very important as the Pumas lost some talented players in their back end to graduation last season. Corey looked athletic and fluid with good speed during the scheme installation period in practice. 2025 prospect.
