October is here and we have begun updating all of our prospect rankings throughout the website. Two weeks ago, we released our first watch list for the 2026 class. The first rankings for that class will come out in January. Last week, it was all about the 2025 class. We’ve updated those rankings to feature the top 75 sophomores in the state. You can check out the full rankings RIGHT HERE. This week, we take a look at some of the top juniors in Oklahoma with an update to the 2024 rankings. You can check out the full rankings RIGHT HERE.
In this post, we’re taking a look at five of the top prospects that are newcomers to the recent ranking update. Some of these prospects emerged late in the summer, others have emerged throughout this season. Stay tuned throughout the week for more 2024 prospect breakdowns. And keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma next week when we release our 2023 prospect rankings.
We knew coming into this season that Del City was going to be an instant contender in Class 5A after winning a district title in 6A-2 last season. And that’s what we’ve seen from the Eagles so far this season. They have several D1 recruits and breakout stars in the 2023 class. But one name that you need to know moving forward is offensive lineman Darreyl Thomas Darreyl Thomas 6’5″ | 295 lbs | OL Del City | 2024 State OK . The Del City big man has emerged as a D1 prospect and he anchors the Eagle offensive line that has done a really good job this season. The Eagles have a very balanced offense that has been one of the better scoring offenses in Class 5A. The 2024 offensive line group in Oklahoma seems to be getting deeper and deeper and Thomas is the latest prospect to emerge in that group. Late in the summer, Thomas earned his first offer. We’re looking forward to seeing more of Thomas later on this season as we get more of a feel for him as a prospect.

A pretty consistent theme whenever we do a ranking update and have the top newcomers is that some of these dudes should have been ranked in the last update. That’s the case here with Classen wide receiver Elijah Green Elijah Green 6’2″ | 180 lbs | WR Classen SAS @ Ne | 2024 State OK . This is a perfect example of how sometimes rankings aren’t perfect and players just slip through the cracks. We knew about Green prior to the June update but forgot to include him. That’s on us! But Green has emerged as a legitimate D1 prospect and could even be considered a Power Five prospect moving forward. Green is a very athletic prospect that appears to be at his best as a wide receiver prospect and playmaker on the offensive side of the ball. Green has been a player to watch over the last six months from having a strong offseason to what he’s been able to do this season. Classen has struggled throughout the year but Green has still established himself as a prospect you need to know.

The first of a couple two-sport stars that are emerging in the state is Pocola standout Garrett Scott Garrett Scott 6’2″ | 170 lbs | ATH Pocola | 2024 State OK . We also really like Scott on the basketball floor after watching him in person over the last six months. But when it comes to him on the football field, Scott has been a dynamic playmaker at the wide receiver position. Pocola is a team to watch out for in Class A based on some of the younger talent that they have and Scott is a big part of that group. Scott is the leading receiver and it will be interesting to see how his recruitment follows following a breakout junior season. And what side of the ball college coaches prefer to see Scott on. And then there is the basketball element in all of this. Pocola is one of the better basketball teams in Class 2A this upcoming winter and Scott plans on helping lead the Indians back to the state tournament. Whether it’s football or basketball, Scott will more than likely have quite a few options moving forward.
Another prospect that emerged this fall was Lawton Eisenhower linebacker Kingston Tito Kingston Tito 6’2″ | 230 lbs | LB Lawton Eisenhower | 2024 State OK . We checked out Lawton Eisenhower earlier this fall at one of their first scrimmages at Carl Albert. One of the players that immediately stood out to us while watching was Tito. Just based on his size, Tito looked the part while running around the field. And it looks like college coaches have started to take notice as well. Tito was offered and earned his first D1 offer earlier this season. While Lawton Eisenhower has struggled on the scoreboard this season, Tito is still a prospect we’re going to be paying attention to moving forward. The only question we have for him moving forward is what his natural position will be at the next level. Will he be more of a linebacker or a defensive end. A lot of it might depend on the scheme that he’s in at the next level, but regardless of position, Tito is a potential gamewrecker who can make a big impact.
Victory Christian standout Michael Doctor Michael Doctor 6’1″ | ATH Victory Christian | 2024 State OK is another example of a two-sport standout that has a legitimate claim to being ranked in both sports. Like Scott at Pocola, Doctor is a two-sport star for Victory Christian, and he stands out on both sides of the ball. Doctor has been a standout as a defensive back since his freshman season. But this season, Doctor emerged early on in the year as a standout at the wide receiver position. He was Victory Christian’s leading receiver early on in the year and established himself as a big play weapon for the Conquerors on the offensive side of the ball. From shutting down top receivers to becoming one himself, Doctor is a prospect to keep an eye on moving forward. Whether it’s as a wide receiver, cornerback or even a guard on the basketball floor, I think that it’s safe to say that Doctor is a prospect that should play at the next level. Which sport and what position is still up for debate.
