Stats: 18 Carries | 311 Yards | 4 Touchdowns rnOne of the top prospects in the state’s 2025 class is Wynnewood running back Caden Knighten Caden Knighten 6’1″ | 180 lbs | RB Wynnewood | 2025 State OK , who is already on the radar of Power 5 programs. In fact, there’s a few small school prospects within that 2025 class who are among the best in the class. Knighten had a special night in their win over Dibble to open up district play. The Savages bounced back from a loss to Davis as Knighten would run for more than 300 yards and four touchdowns. It would be the second time in Wynnewood’s four games this season that Knighten would eclipse the 300 yard mark on the ground and he’s looking for more.
Stats: 14-20 | 228 Yards | 4 Touchdowns | 1 Rushing Touchdown rnJones started the season with one of the toughest non-district schedules in the state. They played a top ten team in Class 4A, followed by the #1 teams in Class 3A and 2A. The record suffered because of it but the Longhorns got their first win of the season over Star Spencer on Thursday night. Junior quarterback had an impressive showing as the Longhorns lit the scoreboard up in week four. He threw for 228 yards and four touchdowns while completing 70 percent of his passes. He also added a touchdown on the ground. Creasey and the Longhorns now prepare for a tough district clash with Crossings Christian.
Stats: 43 Carries | 316 Yards | 5 Touchdowns rnHilldale suffered an upset loss in week three but bounced back in a big way, when it mattered most as district play opened up. And once again, it was senior running back Eric Virgil Eric Virgil 5’10” | 175 lbs | RB Hilldale | 2023 State OK who led the way for the Hornets. Virgil has been one of the better running backs in Class 4A for over a year now and he backed up that claim in their week four victory. He was an absolute workhorse for the Hornets as he carried the ball 43 times and eclipsed 300 yards for the second time this season and finished with five touchdowns. The Hornets have a superstar at running back and they will go as he goes.
Stats: 7-16 | 70 Yards | 12 Carries | 188 Yards | 4 Touchdowns rnWe’ve already written about Hominy’s superstar junior quarterback Jaxon Woods Jaxon Woods 6’0″ | ATH Hominy | 2024 State OK a few times during these Top Performer features this season. And coming into week four, he was listed as one of our “Players To Watch” during their big district clash with Pawnee. He lived up to the hype as he put on a strong performance on the ground in their win over the Black Bears. Woods threw for 70 yards on 7-16 passing but it’s what he did on the ground that was special. He had nearly 200 yards and four touchdowns on 12 carries throughout the game. Woods is a special talent and the Bucks are a serious contender.
Stats: 19-26 | 470 Yards | 6 Touchdowns rnBooker T Washington got off to a slow start this year but the Hornets are starting to click on all cylinders in their last few games. The schedule will start getting tougher but they dominated their district opener against Bartlesville and senior quarterback Lathan Boone Lathan Boone 6’1″ | 175 lbs | QB Booker T Washington | 2023 State OK played arguably his best game of his career, at least statistically speaking. He threw for nearly 475 yards and six touchdowns on 19-26 passing. There were big plays every where for the Hornet offense. Booker T Washington has playmakers at the receiver position and that helps Boone but he’s improved tremendously as a quarterback.
Stats: 9 Carries | 158 Yards | 3 Catches | 123 Yards | 1 Touchdown rnOne of the more underrated 2023 prospects in the state is Choctaw running back La’Trell Ray La’Trell Ray 5’9″ | 165 lbs | RB Choctaw | 2023 State OK . We’ve been fans of his game since the spring and summer before his junior season. He makes up a dynamic duo with senior quarterback Steele Wasel Steele Wasel 6’4″ | 210 lbs | QB Choctaw | 2023 State OK and he’s starting to prove it every single week. In a dominating win in week four, Ray finished with nearly 300 yards of total offense. He was a weapon in the run game and the passing game with over 100 yards rushing and receiving. Ray is a big reason why the Yellowjackets have to be taken very seriously as one of the favorites in Class 6A-2 this year.
Stats: 9-12 | 172 Yards | 2 Touchdowns | 11 Carries | 84 Yards | 1 Touchdown rnStigler has very quietly jumped out to a 5-0 record and have been flat out dominant so far this season. They won easily over Seminole on Friday and junior quarterback McKade Peery McKade Peery 5’10” | QB Stigler | 2024 OK once again led the way. Peery threw for 172 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 84 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Peery is one of the better dual-threat quarterbacks in Class 3A. Now we’re getting closer to finding out just how serious the Panthers are as contenders in Class 3A. From week seven to week nine, they’ll play Muldrow, Lincoln Christian and Berryhill. That will tell us much more about Peery and the Panthers.
Stats: 11 Carries | 198 Yards | 4 Touchdowns rnClass 4A’s top-ranked Cushing has had a couple offensive playmakers on this weekend breakdown already this season and a new one is senior running back Noah Jones Noah Jones 5’9″ | 175 lbs | RB Cushing | 2023 State OK . The Cushing running back can somewhat be overlooked because of the dynamic passing attack that Cushing has but that would be a mistake. And he showed that as the Tigers rolled to another easy win, improving to 4-0 on the season. He ran for nearly 200 yards and four touchdowns on just 11 carries on the night. With Jones giving the Tigers a legitimate running threat, there’s a reason we have Cushing in the top spot right now in Class 4A.
Stats: 6 Catches | 232 Yards | 3 Touchdowns rnFor the second straight week, Madill senior wide receiver Stephen Sisco Stephen Sisco 6’0″ | 190 lbs | WR Madill | 2023 State OK finds himself on this weekend breakdown following another big game. Granted, Madill came up just short on the scoreboard and Sisco took a step back in term of touchdowns but look, you can’t catch five touchdowns every week. That’s what he did last week and he still put up a strong performance in week four. He finished with well over 200 yards and three touchdowns on six receptions. In the last two weeks, Sisco has caught eight touchdown passes. Needless to say, the Madill senior is one of the leading receivers in the state.
