RB David Davis David Davis 6'0" | 175 lbs | DB Imani Christian Academy | 2026 State PA showed why Penn State offered him, rushing for 291 yds after finishing with 261 yds in week 2. ICA’s other D1 prospect Dayshaun Burnett Dayshaun Burnett 6'4" | 220 lbs | LB Imani Christian Academy | 2025 State PA led the defense with 7 tackles, 2 sacks (1 sack was a strip sack turnover that went for a TD). Burnett’s hands keep improving in violence weekly at this point. South Allegheny fought until the end but couldn’t slow down Davis. To nobody’s surprise South Allegheny’s standouts were Youngstown State commit DE/RB Dashawn Carter Dashawn Carter 6'4" | 220 lbs | DL South Allegheny | 2023 State PA & OLB/QB Eric Wehrer Eric Wehrer 6'1" | 205 lbs | ATH South Allegheny | 2023 State PA . Sophomore LB Camden Lewis shows great potential in the strength & overall athletic ability department. Imani Christian will have a much tougher opponent in undefeated Steel Valley Friday night. South Allegheny will look to get back into the win column against East Allegheny week 4.
Remembering he is still a pup, Davis will be top billing by the time he is a senior. David showed good strength & balance running the football vs South Allegheny. His short area quickness keeps improving the more reps he gets. Davis is fast now & will continue to improve as his running form & muscle mass accumulates. I want to see David receive more passes out of the backfield to see if he dominates all aspects of the game.
The power five recruit shows a knack for using his hands well blitzing which will only get better with time. Dayshaun is not only athletic but violent forcing a fumble on a sack that went for a score. Burnett projects as a LB on the next level, but he showed great athleticism at QB completing & running the ball. Burnett’s ability to burst in short spaces & stick his foot in the ground & change direction was visible verse SAHS. Dayshaun is definitely a blue chip recruit who will have all the offers when it’s all said & done.
Highlights
Fred Woodfork
Fred Woodfork
Fred did a good job opening holes for his FBS teammates. He had a good rep kick sliding at OL where he protected his inside violently well. Woodfork showed good physicality finishing a run block til the whistle. Fred improved overall from week 1- week 3, & I’m excited to see how much he grows by the end of 22′ .
The Youngstown commit showed exactly why he is a FCS product. At 6’4 220 pounds he showed a lot of athleticism rushing for 19/127 yds. He displayed lateral quickness as well as straight line speed for a man of his size. On defense he showed he can use his ability to get to the QB finishing with 7 tackles & a sack. At DE he is great at locking out blockers & disengaging for the tackle. Carter will continue to be the biggest threat on defense from South Allegheny.
Highlights
Eric isn’t terribly quick twitched but he’s very efficient in his movements. Eric showed against Imani Christian that he is able to contribute on special teams on the next level. Wehrer doesn’t give up on plays, & he displayed a good motor in pursuit of the ball. Eric showed more physicality at LB week 3 & forced a fumble one play. EW plays well off of blocks naturally, but he could be more violent engaging & disengaging blockers. Eric has been receiving a lot of D2 interest as of late.
Camden Lewis
Camden Lewis
Camden moves well laterally at 6’3 210 lbs. He displays good LB instincts & reads his pass/run keys well. Camden is also a talented zone dropper that covers his zone before coming up to hit. Lewis doesn’t slow down blitzing & his ability was seen in the game on his TFL. On offense, his athletic ability is apparent receiving & running routes. Camden’s nastiness was displayed on a crack back where he melted an OL during the play. Camden is definitely a college LB prospect to keep an eye on.
