The biggest passing tournament in Southern California each summer is the Battle at the Beach tournament at Edison High. Last season, Santa Margarita won the tournament and the past two seasons it conflicted with the Elite 11, so some of the top quarterbacks could not participate. This season, the field is stacked as usual and all the top quarterbacks are expected to be in attendance. Here is a preview of the second half of teams at the tournament. For a preview of the first half of teams, click here to read. Millikan Millikan is loaded with talented skill players and has cemented itself as the No. 2 team in the Moore League. [player_tooltip player_id="115471" first="Ryan" last="Pellum"] and [player_tooltip player_id="115423" first="Jordan" last="Anderson"] are elite receivers who are national prospects and [player_tooltip player_id="261743" first="Angelo" last="Miranda"] isn't far behind them. Pellum was the No. 1 prospect in California's 2024 class for awhile and has offers from all the major schools. [player_tooltip player_id="115449" first="Myles" last="Jackson"] is the Rams' quarterback and they also added Los Alamitos transfer [player_tooltip player_id="25421" first="Nygel" last="Osborne"]. https://twitter.com/___gelo__/status/1528103150275637248?s=20&t=ib2PeHVXOpjHZBcNObKYMw Edison Edison is the tournament host and they lost some major talents from last year's team. Parker Awad returns at quarterback after a nice junior season fresh off a transfer from Mater Dei. Tucker Tripp is expected to be the team's receiving leader and Mason York had a productive offseason for the OC Elite passing tournament. [player_tooltip player_id="270897" first="Dominic" last="Lopez"] is a really good athlete who can play all over the field for the Chargers. https://twitter.com/DirectRecruits/status/1458270629824663558?s=20&t=ib2PeHVXOpjHZBcNObKYMw Long Beach Poly Poly won the Division 4 championship last season and I promise you they will never see Division 4 again. The Jackrabbits added Tennessee commit [player_tooltip player_id="25390" first="Nico" last="Iamaleava"] at quarterback. [player_tooltip player_id="115447" first="Darius" last="Curry"] is also a quarterback for Poly who can start anywhere else. [player_tooltip player_id="261774" first="Devin" last="Samples"] is a quality running back who can make plays out of the backfield. [player_tooltip player_id="115473" first="Jason" last="Robinson JR"] is an elite receiver committed to USC and Poly also has [player_tooltip player_id="115417" first="Titus" last="Bordeaux"] and class of 2025 receiver [player_tooltip player_id="282751" first="Jadyn" last="Robinson"]. Joshua Cason returns on defense and so does [player_tooltip player_id="190357" first="Ikenasio" last="Mikaele"]. USC commit [player_tooltip player_id="184158" first="Dylan" last="Williams"] is a star linebacker who was recently named All-Tournament at the Elite 11 and LSU commit [player_tooltip player_id="144960" first="Daylen" last="Austin"] is a star. Keep an eye on Los Alamitos transfer [player_tooltip player_id="115475" first="Hasani" last="Scott"] who is athletic enough to see some playing time in the secondary. https://twitter.com/ncaarecruits/status/1544378317201035264?s=20&t=ib2PeHVXOpjHZBcNObKYMw Mission Viejo [player_tooltip player_id="25441" first="Kadin" last="Semonza"] returns at quarterback for the Diablos fresh off his commitment to Ball State. The Diablos have two elite receivers in [player_tooltip player_id="25408" first="Mikey" last="Matthews"] and Arizona commit [player_tooltip player_id="190360" first="Jackson" last="Holman"]. KJ Reid is another speedy receiver who has been on the camp circuit. [player_tooltip player_id="195570" first="Jack" last="Matranga"] is a star at linebacker and the Diablos added Tesoro transfer Mikey D'Amato and JSerra transfer [player_tooltip player_id="261722" first="Edward" last="Schultz"]. [player_tooltip player_id="270905" first="Treyvon" last="Tolmaire"] is a developing corner who I am high on and Joey Libutti was one of the fastest players at the PRZ Showcase in Northern California. https://twitter.com/UTRScouting/status/1513343963666608132?s=20&t=ib2PeHVXOpjHZBcNObKYMw North Kitsap, Washington North Kitsap has receiver prospect [player_tooltip player_id="338800" first="Logan" last="Sloman"] who could be in store for a breakout junior season. Jaxson Gore is another receiver to watch for North Kitsap and so is [player_tooltip player_id="338809" first="Ethan" last="Guerra"]. Norco UCLA commit [player_tooltip player_id="145245" first="Grant" last="Gray"] is the marquee name for Norco and is one of the top receivers in Southern California. Clayton Zentner is an intriguing athlete for Norco and Tyler Dudden is expected to be a starting quarterback candidate for Norco. https://twitter.com/GregBiggins/status/1500593261051715584?s=20&t=ib2PeHVXOpjHZBcNObKYMw https://twitter.com/MattRMoreno/status/1498071872390320129?s=20&t=ib2PeHVXOpjHZBcNObKYMw Rancho Cucamonga Jason Harris Jr. is a talented receiver returning for Rancho Cucamonga and so is [player_tooltip player_id="273600" first="Jonah" last="Dawson"] who recently visited Oregon. [player_tooltip player_id="261762" first="Julian" last="Lundy"] is a receiver with offers from Montana and Northern Arizona. Boise State commit [player_tooltip player_id="42957" first="CJ" last="Tiller"] is the quarterback for Rancho Cucamonga and he led them to a tournament at San Diego State. https://twitter.com/cj_tiller/status/1544145779564154880?s=20&t=ib2PeHVXOpjHZBcNObKYMw Servite Servite is a mystery team who lost multiple Power 5 players. Julian Puche will compete for the starting quarterback job with Mater Dei transfer James Johnson. Wes Taylor returns at receiver for the Friars and Ethan Scaffidi returns at corner. https://twitter.com/bylucaevans/status/1525540236415012864?s=20&t=ib2PeHVXOpjHZBcNObKYMw Santa Margarita The Eagles are the defending champs of this tournament and have a lot of returners mixed with new additions. [player_tooltip player_id="25428" first="Jaxon" last="Potter"] returns at quarterback and [player_tooltip player_id="262084" first="Jake" last="Foye"] returns at running back. [player_tooltip player_id="190355" first="Niko" last="Lopez"] is a big target at receiver for the Eagles, [player_tooltip player_id="261826" first="Ryan" last="Parker"] is a solid wideout and [player_tooltip player_id="195538" first="Bain" last="Eiseman"] is one of my favorite sleeper Trinity League receivers coming into the season. The strength of Santa Margarita is its defensive line, but they have talented skill players as well. Israel Solomon returns in the secondary with [player_tooltip player_id="167964" first="Ben" last="Durham"] and [player_tooltip player_id="270899" first="Donovan" last="Comestro"]. [player_tooltip player_id="282775" first="LaRue" last="Zamorano"] is an intriguing young guy for the Eagles and so is [player_tooltip player_id="282778" first="Taurian" last="Nash"]. [player_tooltip player_id="115420" first="Emmett" last="Mosley"] is a good defensive back who transferred from Servite. https://twitter.com/PassingDown/status/1517156253855719424?s=20&t=ib2PeHVXOpjHZBcNObKYMw Serra The marquee headliner for Serra is defensive back [player_tooltip player_id="190271" first="Rodrick" last="Pleasant"] who is the fastest man in the state with a 10.14 100m. When the pads come on [player_tooltip player_id="147716" first="Cincere" last="Rhaney"] is one of the top running backs in the state. https://twitter.com/latsondheimer/status/1543279626511798272?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1543279626511798272%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fprepredzone.com%2F2022%2F07%2Felite-11-all-tournament-defensive-team%2F
