2029 Central Valley Rankings Newcomers

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">With the release of the updated 2029 PRZ state player rankings, here's an in-depth look at the Central Valley prospects that are new additions. </h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Gifted athlete with track level speed to impact the game in all three phases. Excelled at corner as a freshman when he showed natural coverage ability and instincts. Demonstrates the ability to stay in phase to all areas of the field with good speed and technical footwork. His transitions are smooth and well timed with good acceleration and leg drive coming out. Excellent route recognition and anticipation to limit separation and stay attached throughout the play. Speed allows him to recover and be an explosive playmaker in the return game. Was a top performer at the PRZ SoCal Showcase and is expected to land on the recruiting radar early in his career.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Strong all around skillset with versatility to play any position in the secondary effectively. Constantly attacking he plays fast and has a great nose for the football to put himself in position to make play in both coverage and run support. A fluid mover, he's quick in the hips and flashes rapid change of direction to plant and drive. Quick processing ability to anticipate play location and doesn't hesitate triggering to the football. At safety, he shows good range and ball skills in coverage attacking the football in the air with good timing and high point ability. Works hard downhill in run support and initiates contact with force and forward momentum. Performed well at the National Preps NorCal Showcase and is one to watch as he gains experience.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Wright is an explosive playmaker out of the slot and at kick returner. He's a quick twitch athlete at 5'10” 170 lbs. that creates consistent separation at all three levels with a wide route tree. Shows a strong drive phase off the line and is an advanced route runner for his age. He sets up his routes using stems to attack leverage and sells hard at the top with a variety of moves. His cuts are sharp and sudden with good burst both as a route runner and after the catch. Strong at the catch point, he's a natural ball tracker and competitor to win in traffic using good body control and coordination. After the catch, he transitions up field quickly, is elusive in space, and can breakaway with speed. He possesses a wide skillset with a strong compact frame at 5'8” 205 lbs. Plays violently downhill on both sides of the ball bringing heavy contact and force to the POA. Low center of gravity he displays excellent contact balance initiating with proper leverage, pad level, and leg drive. At RB, he carries the ball with a good combination of strength and speed being able to pick up tough yards between the tackles or extend gains once in space. At LB, he's quick to diagnose run/pass and flies to the football with good burst to close and efficient angles. A lot to like about his overall skillset and upside.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Outstanding athletic skillset with the positional versatility to be a difference maker at both WR and DB. Excelled at WR as a freshman for San Joaquin Memorial demonstrating high caliber route running, ball skills, ability after the catch taking 30 receptions for 521 yards and 4 touchdowns. He's a physical receiver that doesn't allow contact to disrupt route timing or catch radius. Can separate with pure speed but his routes are clean and precise, showing an advanced feel for spacing and timing of moves to create separation. Competes for the ball at the catch point showing good concentration and high point to make plays in contested situations. Flashes early D1 potential.</p>
