Flowers checks into our rankings update as one of the more explosive and exciting freshman backs coming off last season, and is one of the top players in all of Sacramento regardless of class. He stands out on film with elite contact balance and body control through the hole, bounces off tacklers while keeping his legs driving and shows quick feet and elusiveness through traffic with open field speed in the clear. Flowers shows he can evade tacklers in the backfield and has good vision in tight windows with cutback abilities and can return kicks and punts as well while a natural athlete on the ground or when receiving.

The Central Catholic product is a smooth runner that gets downhill quickly and runs behind his pads while showing natural forward lean and leg drive through contact in the hole. He is a true north and south runner that finishes runs, can chunk yardage in the open field and is a complete back for his age and has a strong foundational base for the position heading into his sophomore year. He has shown he can catch the ball out of the backfield and make plays in the open field and is a big yards after contact guy that will only continue to grow and develop through his final three seasons in a run heavy offensive system.

Johnson enters into our watch list rankings in this update and is one of the more explosive and big play guys in the class across the central valley. He is a home-run threat from the backfield and can return kicks and punts while a natural pass catcher out of the backfield as well with natural hands, route running abilities and can break loose inside with contact balance, short area twitch and start/stop abilities. Johnson should get plenty of varsity attention as a sophomore in 2026 and start to become a notable name at the position and is poised for a breakout season for a always strong Manteca rushing attack.

Quiroz checks into our watch list rankings for the 2029 class after a very solid freshman campaign in 2026. He is a smaller back with good agility in tight spaces, speed in the open field and can make tacklers miss in the hole while showing pass catching abilities out of the backfield as well. He was one of the top freshman rushers across the central valley last Fall and is in line for a breakout season coming up and will only continue to develop as he packs on weight and adds some mass to his frame. He checks into our watch list rankings this time around and is a key name to note in the class in the central valley moving forward.

Moreno is a rising name to note across the valley for 2029 players and is a explosive and speedy athlete that can make big plays in the open field and is explosive and dynamic with the ball in his hands. He can run tough inside, catch the ball in the flats and lineup at multiple spots offensively and should have a breakout season on varsity as a sophomore for Liberty. Moreno has a smaller compact build but runs hard for his size, has short area twitch and quick feet through traffic and is able to catch the ball and quickly turn upfield and make tacklers miss in space, forcing poor angles and having some wiggle in one on one situations as well.
