In this post, we take a look at the four defensive linemen that made it in this recent ranking update. While we haven’t seen very many at this position emerge yet within the 2025 class, these four prospects not only have emerged already, but they could end up being much higher in the future.
Cash Jacobsen

Jacobsen
6'5" | 250 lbs | DL
Jenks | 2025
State
OK
– Jenks
(Ranked #25 Overall – #1 DL)
At this time of the year, we have a pretty lengthy list of players that we’re excited to see either break out, or take his game to another level. And one of the prospects that we’re most excited to see potentially break out this fall is Jenks lineman Cash Jacobsen Cash Jacobsen 6'5" | 250 lbs | DL Jenks | 2025 State OK , who comes in as the top defensive lineman in the 2025 class. Physically, Jacobsen looks the part with size, strength and speed. He had a dominating and outstanding freshman year but this fall will be his first crack at consistent varsity action. And with the graduations of AJ Brown and Colemon Thurber, Jenks will need a disrupter up front. We like Jacobsen to fit into that role and cause havoc for the reigning 6A-1 champs.
Cody Voelker
Cody
Voelker
6'3" | 210 lbs | DL
Carl Albert | 2025
State
OK
– Choctaw
(Ranked #43 Overall – #2 DL)
Choctaw has a fantastic recent history of defensive linemen to come out of the Yellowjacket program and 2025 Cody Voelker Cody Voelker 6'3" | 210 lbs | DL Carl Albert | 2025 State OK might be the next man up. Just like plenty of prospects within the 2025 rankings, there’s a combination of potential and promise that looks ahead at what the prospect could be in the future. And it’s hard to ignore the coaching that Choctaw has done with some of their recent standouts along the defensive line. Voelker has good size already and his motor is one that doesn’t quit. If he continues to grow and keeps that motor, he is going to be an absolute monster to stay in front of. We expect Voelker to take that first step this fall towards being the next standout defensive lineman to come out of this program.
Caden Davis
Caden
Davis
6'0" | LB
Carl Albert | 2025
State
OK
– Carl Albert
(Ranked #46 Overall – #3 DL)
Compared to other defensive linemen, Carl Albert’s Caden Davis Caden Davis 6'0" | LB Carl Albert | 2025 State OK looks more like a linebacker physically and that could very well be in his future. But the Titans line him up on the defensive line and he absolutely dominates at that spot. He was one of the breakout freshmen for this Carl Albert team and really impressed his coaches. According to the coaches at Carl Albert, Davis was one of the strongest players on the team and had an impact in the playoffs as a freshman. The Titan coaches are expecting Davis to take the next step towards being a dominating defender. While we have him listed as a defensive lineman now, he could be a different position in the future.
Devin Gillespie
Devin
Gillespie
6'0" | 285 lbs | DL
Choctaw | 2025
State
OK
– Edmond Memorial
(Ranked #47 Overall – #4 DL)
As opposed to the other three defensive linemen in this breakdown, there is absolutely no doubt as to what Edmond Memorial’s Devin Gillespie Devin Gillespie 6'0" | 285 lbs | DL Choctaw | 2025 State OK projects to at the next level and that’s a defensive tackle or nose guard. Gillespie started half of the games for the Bulldogs last season and was an absolute space stuffer and was a monster at clogging up the middle. Most of the talk around Edmond Memorial’s 2025 class has surrounded quarterback David McComb David McComb 6'3" | 215 lbs | QB Edmond Memorial | 2025 State OK but they have another talented ’25 prospect with Gillespie on the defensive side of the ball. We’re looking forward to seeing how Gillespie continues to grow his game to go along with his size.
