After a bit of a hiatus, we return to our previously scheduled series of looking at Pennsylvania’s early standouts at each position. Today, we turn our attention to the linebackers where Pennsylvania has one budding potential star at the top but also a great group of linebackers who all have Division I, FBS potential down the road.
Let’s dive right into those players..
[player_tooltip player_id="255078" first="Anthony" last="Sacca"] (St. Joseph’s Prep)

Sacca technically plays safety for St. Joseph’s Prep currently but already at 6-foot-4 and 210-pounds, linebacker or possibly defensive end is in the future for the Penn State legacy (father is former Penn State and NFL QB Tony Sacca). He’s our No.2 player in the state in the class of 2025 and will be vying for the next three years as the potential top overall player in the class. He’s a fantastic prospect overall with tremendous athleticism and football IQ for a freshman. He’ll be intriguing to watch for many reasons but especially in regards to how he continues to grow and what position he’ll eventually grow into.
[player_tooltip player_id="209027" first="Brock" last="Cornell"] (West Allegheny)
Cornell plays free safety for West Allegheny but very could grow into a linebacker role as well. The West Allegheny prospect shows great athleticism and instincts among other intangibles. He was a 2nd Team All-Conference selection for the Indians as well this past season as a true freshman which is obviously very impressive.
[player_tooltip player_id="259543" first="Grady" last="Papa"] (Pittsburgh Central Catholic)

Papa is already well built for a rising sophomore at 6-foot-3 and 215-pounds, Mix that strong size with good athleticism and you have yourself a potential top-notch linebacker prospect. Like any 2025 prospect, there’s a long way to go in his development, and a lot can happen but you have to love what you see when you put on Papa’s tape.

[player_tooltip player_id="118752" first="Cameron" last="Kiersch"] (Danville Area)

Kiersch had a productive season for Danville recording 72 tackles and four interceptions. While he didn’t face quarterbacks at times, he still showed quality instincts in coverage as well as the good speed that allows him to chase down opposing ball carriers whether it’s going across the field or down the sideline.

[player_tooltip player_id="263030" first="Dominic" last="Fetterolf"] (Southern Columbia)
Next up in the machine that is Southern Columbia is [player_tooltip player_id="263030" first="Dominic" last="Fetterolf"]. as a freshman for the state title-winning Tigers, Fetterolf recorded 139 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, two sacks, and two interceptions. Pretty incredible numbers for a true freshman, in one of the best high schools in the entire state regardless of classification. He flashes on film with quality athleticism but also a high football IQ and instincts that allow him to always be involved in the play whenever he’s on the field.

[player_tooltip player_id="263032" first="Ky’mir" last="Williams"] (Harrisburg)
The Harrisburg linebacker plays both linebacker and defensive back but we believe his future is at the linebacker position. As a true freshman this past season he at times dominated and was a "game wrecker", something that you rarely see in a high school freshman. He shows off a nice combination of strength and speed. Overall, a good-looking prospect with great upside as he continues to develop.
