bursted onto the recruiting scene earlier than expected this time last year. Now, the soon-to-be West Allegheny senior is back seeing interest from local/Northeast FCS programs. Albany and Duquesne last year, Bucknell earlier this year,

announced a Robert Morris offer yesterday as well, bringing his offer sheet total to four. I can vouch for the young man’s testing ability, as well as his work ethic. A lock as a future top 100 senior, good on these programs for attempting to secure one of the better DBs in the class of 2025 (PA).

out of West Allegheny is a kid who was named Co-Defensive Player Of The Year. Sharing the award with now Pitt LB Cam Lindsey out of Aliquippa.
Brock has a total of 3 Division 1 offers from programs like Bucknell, Duquesne, and UAlbany.
He plays both ways for West Allegheny, but will ultimately play Defense at the next level. Brock has a lot of versatility and is good at covering ground to make plays. He will only continue to grow, and his reported 4.2 GPA won’t slow him down either!

Brock is an aggressive safety who excels at running the alley and tackling in space. He’s an intelligent player who reads and reacts quickly. Cornell was offered his first scholarship by D1 Albany at the end of May. His most recent opportunity came from the Duquesne Dukes of the NEC. The West Allegheny playmaker will have a lot of eyes on him this season.

Early during the Defensive back portion of the showcase, I began to hear this kid was legit, didn’t take me long to find out why the hype for Cornell is real. The MVP of the defensive backs, this 2025 West Allegheny product ran one of the fastest 40s on the day and was locked in during the 1 on 1 sessions. During the reps against the glaring amount of more receivers than dbs, I do not believe Cornell lost one battle.

. Right before the defensive backs session, I began to hear about the hype this kid was starting to create and after watching him in person, I can see the hype is real! Cornell was a beast all day running 4.4 40 and being lights out in the one on one sessions. He really took charge with the whole defensive back group and refused to take any reps off regardless of how exhausted he may have been. Sporting a modest 3.978 GPA, I can see why no schools like Fordham and Duquesne are already showing interest. After his outing on Saturday, I am beginning to believe that this kid is FBS bound.

It would’ve been hard to find many freshman defenders with more production than Cornell had in 2021. He totaled 96 total tackles including 50 total tackles. He also recorded four forced fumbles and one interception on the season. Cornell like Burnett has the ability to line up at a multitude of positions and shows the ability to do so at a high level at each. His athleticism really stands out on his HUDL tape as well as his ability to quickly diagnose and react to plays. He’s also a big hitter and is always seeking out the ball, wherever the ball is, you’ll likely find him right at it once a play ends.
