Max outs, high reps, great form, big gains! It is time! We are back with our second installment of the top lifts of the month from across WI! We have many athletes back with even bigger and better lifts than last month. We also have several new names and lifts to welcome to the series. Let’s check out these huge numbers, great form, and offseason improvement! We have seriously strong athletes in this state. Let’s get it started!
<strong>Teal Lucas, ’23 QB- Wisconsin Rapids</strong>
<em>Lift: Squat 365 lbs x 3</em>
The athletic QB started off the month with a clean 365 lbs squat for 3 reps. Love the form, and I’m pumped to see him this fall. He already runs 4.71 in the 40, so I’m pumped to see if he can beat that after a great offseason! Wisconsin Rapids weight room is an exciting place to be this time of year. They have move serious weight over there.

<strong>Bryce Balistreri, ’24 TE/LB- Pius XI</strong>
<em>Lift: Deadlift 405 lbs X 1</em>
Bryce is a dual sport athlete who is putting in serious work before hitting the diamond this spring! The sophomore has built himself up an impressive, thick frame that I’m excited to see in action on the gridiron this fall. Young fella to watch.

Carter is another member of the impressive Wis Rapids weight room. Carter made the list last month witha 315 lbs bench, and now he is back with a huge power clean and freakish squat. The squat came in competition, and it got me hyped to watch him fight for it! Big gains being made by Carter this offseason! Bigger season coming this fall!

<em>Lift: Squat 445 lbs X 1, Bench 170 lbs X 30</em>
Colton has made huge gains over the last month! He hit a squat of 405 for three last month, and now he as a new PR of 445 lbs! To go with it, Colton also put out a video showing off the stamina as he hit 30 reps on bench. Brunell is one of the top 2024s, and a must watch two way athlete. Big year, and big numbers coming!

<strong>Ben Buxa, ’23 OL/DL- Lakeside Lutheran</strong>
<em>Lift: Bench 225 lbs X 20</em>
Full range of motion, and making it look easy! Ben makes his debut with an impressive display of strength and stamina as he put up 225 for an NFL Combine worthy 20 reps. Ben is one of the top two way linemen in the state, and he has a lot of D1 interest to date.

Ethan is one of the most explosive athlete in the state. He is poised for a big track season after offseason lifts like this! The lower body explosiveness that is going to come from this type of lift is going tot rasnlate to the field well also. I’m pumped to watch him dominate this fall.

Lucas Milz ’23 RB- Black Hawk
Lift: 350 lbs X 5
Lucas is showing us how it is done! Great form, big weight! Lucas is going to be a load to tackle this fall with lifts and leg drive like this. Yards after contact won’t be an issue for Lucas. Keep an eye on him this fall.

Andrew is looking like a steal with lifts like this! The kid has big numbers that tell me he must be an explosive athlete. The lower body strength is there in spades for Andrew. It looks like he is uncommitted, so come and steal him.

Our final Wisconsin Rapids athlete is the DL. He had an elite day of 2 rep PRing on 455, and then he hit 500 lbs afterwards. The strength and stamina are insane. Easy to see why he has all the interest that he does.
