About Wesley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Consistency over time. I've heard you fight how you train, so train how you fight. The way you are hit in the 1st quarter will be the same way you are hit in the 4th quarter.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have been told by friends I am surprisingly chill, unlike my intensity and focus in practice.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Through staff recommendation, I have been a student ambassador at my school. We were responsible for new student orientations and leading community service events like food drives.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being a multi-sport athlete, I have worked to develop self-resilience to perform under pressure in individual sports.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. It has forced changes to my schedule as she recovers from treatment while trying to make practices and lifting.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college where I can grow not only as a player, but has the resources and connections to prepare me for a career after the competitions are done.
