I see a future dominant FCS interior defensive lineman with real staying power. Power, mass, and experience all translate cleanly to the next level. This is a kid I identified early and he’s only validated that belief. Surprised more FCS programs aren’t already involved. Should have multiple opportunities at the next level. Clean D1 player with a high floor.

Good luck trying to stop State College’s offense next year with Matt Gaul Matt Gaul 6'3" | 290 lbs | DL/OL State College | 2027 State PA and Luke Milito Luke Milito 6'2" | 270 lbs | OL State College | 2026 State PA being their top offensive linemen. Gaul’s ability to fire out of his stance and block edge defenders is excellent. He excelled as the left tackle last year, where he showed good feet to stay in front of edge defenders in the pass game, as well as dominating them in the run game. Then, as a defensive tackle, he is hard to move off his spot and shows a motor that never quits. Gaul should be a good candidate to eventually play College Football in the future.

Has a lengthy seven-minute sophomore tape on Hudl. Great pursuer of the football while aligned on the defensive side of the ball. Great second-half rep prospect, if Matt Gaul Matt Gaul 6'3" | 290 lbs | DL/OL State College | 2027 State PA doesn’t win with a good get-off or swift hand-fighting tech, his drive and motor can lead him to the football despite losing reps early. Not to get it confused, Gaul wouldn’t be inside the Top 100 if he was losing reps consistently. Can get slippery in the A-gap, coupled with a good get-off, Gaul can put guards and centers in unfavorable positions quickly after the snap. Nimble for a 270-pound lineman, I’d place him on the athletic side of the DL/OL spectrum. Left tackle reps on offense. Combining his offensive and defensive prowess, I’d feel comfortable providing Gaul with an FCS grade. Was previously ranked 73/198, now 91/500, a higher percentile. Would love to see Gaul and the rest of State College in person.

He does well by exploding off the ball and blocking defensive players. His stance and starts are excellent from the offensive line position. He moves his feet well and stays in front of pass rushers well. Gaul showed a ton of potential last year and I expect him to continue to grow as a player going into his sophomore year.
