The Cathedral Catholic product is a true interior mauler that excels in the run game and plays with nasty intentions. He is quick off the ball, shows good initial pop and strength at the POA while able to finish blocks downfield. He moves well for his size in the box and has the ideal build, length and frame for the FBS level inside and will only continue to work on blocking out in space and overall movement. Velasquez shows he can pull across the LOS and kick out edge setters while running through contact and does a nice job staying within his frame in both the run game and pass protection. He currently holds one offer from Washington State, and should see other schools come in during the Spring evaluation period later this month.
