Not sure how we missed not moving Millard South’s Urban Kennedy Urban Kennedy 6'1" | 210 lbs | ATH Millard South | 2027 NE from the WL to the rankings last update, but expect that to be addressed in the next one. Urban went slightly overlooked on a loaded defense, but his impact was hard to deny as he tallied 56 tackles, 17.5 TFLs, 1.5 sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble. Urban started at outside linebacker, where he flashed the ability to be an effective downhill defender who can make splash plays at/behind the LOS or can flip his hips to drop back into his coverage assignment. Urban can fire off like a cannon when he keys in on the run, showing the burst to close on the ball in a flash and football IQ to effectively fill his gaps. He uses great technique and power at the point of contact to ensure the stop. Kennedy has the strength to maintain blocks on the edge before ripping through to continue pursuing the ball, and he can press linemen when he decides to go straight through them. Excellent motor. Urban will be looked at as one of the main leaders on a Patriots team looking to three-peat as Class A champions.
