Stats: 3 Tackles, 1 TFL, 1.5 SacksrnOne of my favorite under the radar seniors is Tate Kowalik Tate Kowalik 6'2" | 250 lbs | DL Marquette University | 2024 State WI . The senior dominated the final game of his career. He showed that he has a good first step, and he can turn and get skinny to slip through gaps. Tate has quick feet and loose hips to be able to change his rush path and has the athleticism to run stunts effectively. He was another kid that made a lot of plays because of his high motor also. Tate was a disruptive force all night long wrecking havoc in the backfield. He is a senior that needs far more attention.

I have a feeling we are going to see Tate dominate games in 2023. The 6’2” 240 lbs DL is undersized, but he hasn’t allowed that to hinder his game. Tate has played all along the DL, and has won from every position thanks to his next level talent. Kowalik has an excellent first step that is quick and instantly transitions into power in a flash. That power is led by a monster initial punch to get the OL moving backwards. From there, he uses those hands to either shed the block, or he continues to drive the OL right into the lap of the QB or ball carrier. Tate’s body control jumps off the tape too. He moves as one unit. You see his lower half work perfectly in rhythm with his upper body. Tate is going to surprise people. Don’t miss out on him. He is going to continue to trend upwards.
