We continue our look through the Must Stop recruiting hotbeds for WI recruiters with a look at one of the Milwaukee schools. Milwaukee Marquette has been putting out a lot of talent over the years, and 2024 looks to have a strong collection of talent in the Class of 2024. We have six athletes that I want to dive into in today’s article. Six athletes that are going to play at the next level. So, don’t miss out coaches. These guys need to be on the radar.
The 6’2” 180 lbs WR is an athlete to know in the middle of special WR position group. He has the building blocks needed at several key traits. His releas at the line is quick, and he gets his hands involved to clear the DB. The speed is there to stretch the defense, and Thad has solid body control allowing him to have efficient speed through the brakes of his routes. I was impressed with the catches he made at the edge of his catch radius. The soft hands are there for a QB to rely on. I’m excited to see the jump he makes this year following a big jump from sophomore to junior year. Keep an eye on the playmaker out wide.
I have a feeling we are going to see Tate dominate games in 2023. The 6’2” 240 lbs DL is undersized, but he hasn’t allowed that to hinder his game. Tate has played all along the DL, and has won from every position thanks to his next level talent. Kowalik has an excellent first step that is quick and instantly transitions into power in a flash. That power is led by a monster initial punch to get the OL moving backwards. From there, he uses those hands to either shed the block, or he continues to drive the OL right into the lap of the QB or ball carrier. Tate’s body control jumps off the tape too. He moves as one unit. You see his lower half work perfectly in rhythm with his upper body. Tate is going to surprise people. Don’t miss out on him. He is going to continue to trend upwards.
Highlights
Keep an eye out for this OL to break out in 2023. The 6’3” 260 lbs OT looks and plays the part of a next level guard. He stands out with his his ability to make key blocks in zone or power blocking schemes. When asked to run laterally he is able to easily slide laterally, make and maintain contact, and keep position on his man through the play. In power schemes, he gets out of his stance quickly, closes the gap, and can drive level one off the ball. I’m excited to see him continue to develop his strength further, and build up his body control. Both of which will make him an even better OL prospect.
A player I am ready to see fully step into the spotlight, and climb the ranks is the 6′ CB out of Marquette. He shows the play style you look for in a DB. Someone who is aggressive, can play the pass and run game. A defender who is as aggressive at the catch point as he is when making a tackle in the run game. The young athlete has solid play recognition as well. Right now, I project him best as a safety at the next level. He is definitely an athlete to check out.
I am intrigued by the 5’11” 170 lbs safety out of Marquette. He was very productive in 2022. He is undersized, but the safety’s play recognition can’t be denied. It got him in position to make the plays he did. His hand eye coordination led to turnovers, and a lot of passes batted down thanks to well timed, active hands. The kid knows what to do with the ball after the catch too. He sees the field well, thanks to his experience as a returner. I hope to see him work his way up the rankings this year.

Peter is an athlete to keep an eye on as he works to earn significant varsity playing time. The 6’1” 180 lbs QB will have to prove he has the traits to win the job. Outside of the leadership, and understanding of the offense, Peter will need to prove he has the arm strength, accuracy, and decision making to put his offense in the best position to win. If he wins the job Iw ill be excited to watch him show off what he has to offer.
