We got a nice long look at the pass protection skills of the imposing 6’4″ 280 lbs senior OL Tanner Johnson Tanner Johnson 6'4" | 280 lbs | OL Greendale | 2024 State WI . First takeaway, Johnson has a sound quick set and solid anchor strength. He can dig in, absorb the bull rush of DL, and shut down their attempts to win with power. Tanner uses his long reach to get that initial contact so he can gain control. The big man slides laterally in short areas well, and we saw him move laterally pretty easily in the run blocking clip. I believe he fits best on the interior at the next level. There he can use that short area agility, anchor strength, and superior length to win consistently.
